In July 2023, the Ministry of Information and Communications held a meeting with 5 major TV manufacturers and asked these units to proactively integrate the national digital television platform VTVGo on smart TVs manufactured, imported and distributed in Vietnam.

TV manufacturers including LG, Sony, TCL and Casper have agreed to the proposal of the Ministry of Information and Communications to pre-install the VTVGo application on the TV screen interface. The move by TV manufacturers aims to promote the development of the national digital television platform.

At the recent launch event of new Samsung TV lines in 2024 held in Ho Chi Minh City, according to VietNamNet reporters, these TV lines have currently integrated a number of domestic digital platforms such as VieON, Galaxy Play, FPT Play... but have not yet integrated the VTVGo application into the screen interface and remote control shortcut keys.

Samsung Vina representative said that as the number 1 TV brand in the Vietnamese market for 10 consecutive years, the company always innovates, focusing on consumers for all technological innovations. In which, VTVGo application is one of the important information channels for audiences to easily access national and local television content. Currently, Samsung TV users can install the application from the Smart Hub application store to watch and enjoy content on VTVGo.

“Regarding the integration of VTVGo on the screen interface and shortcut keys on the remote control, we have been working with VTVGo to implement technical issues. VTVGo partners are working hard to complete the integration soon. For an application to provide full content and a smooth experience, it takes time to prepare and a close coordination process. Samsung always expects partners to complete the highest level of perfection to ensure the user experience. We hope that this integration will help users access the national digital television application more quickly and easily,” said a Samsung representative.
