Fast Retailing Foundation announces 9 Vietnamese students receiving full scholarships in 2024

On the afternoon of July 2, Fast Retailing Group, the parent company of the UNIQLO brand, announced the list of 9 Vietnamese students receiving scholarships from the Fast Retailing Foundation in 2024.

This is the second year this activity has been implemented in Vietnam.

At the scholarship awarding ceremony, Mr. Noriaki Koyama - Senior Executive Director of Fast Retailing Group and Senior Secretary General of the Fast Retailing Foundation, said that with practical support, the Fast Retailing Scholarship Foundation creates conditions and motivates outstanding, ambitious and passionate young people to develop their talents.

Fast Retailing Foundation Scholarship Award Ceremony 2024 Announces 9 Outstanding Students Receiving Full Scholarships

The Fast Retailing Foundation Scholarship is a full scholarship for Bachelor's Program in English at 12 Japanese universities, covering tuition, living expenses and housing expenses throughout the program with a maximum of 10 students per year.

In 2024, after reviewing the application and interview rounds, the admissions council selected 9 outstanding students from 8 high schools to award scholarships, including: Foreign Language High School, Foreign Language University, National University (Hanoi), National University of Education High School for the Gifted (Hanoi), Natural Science High School, National University (Hanoi), Chu Van An High School (Hanoi), Lam Son High School for the Gifted (Thanh Hoa), Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted, Tan Thanh High School (Long An), Gifted High School, National University (HCMC).

Students will have the opportunity to study and exchange culture at top universities in Japan such as: Kyoto University, Nagoya University, Kyushu University.

In 2023, the Fast Retailing Foundation awarded scholarships to six outstanding candidates studying at Kyoto University, Tohoku University, Nagoya University, and Keio University.

The Fast Retailing Foundation Full Scholarship covers the following expenses:

- Tuition (enrollment fee, admission fee, semester tuition)

- First year living allowance: 200,000 yen (one-time upon admission)

- Living expenses (including housing costs): 128,000 - 160,000 yen per month

- Overseas travel accident insurance
