University rewards 2 - 20 million VND for students with high IELTS scores

Students who get 7.0 on the IELTS test will receive a reward of 2 million VND, increasing to a maximum of 20 million VND if they get 9.0.

Ho Chi Minh City Open University has just announced its 2025 scholarship policy for this year's admitted candidates and current students.

For students, the school has many scholarship policies. Notable among these is the scholarship to encourage improvement of English proficiency.

Accordingly, students who achieve high results in international English proficiency assessment certification exams from IELTS 7.0, TOEFL from 570, TOEIC from 750 and equivalent certificates, each student will receive from 2 to 20 million VND depending on the achieved score.

In addition, Ho Chi Minh City Open University also offers many other scholarships to students such as encouraging learning, overcoming difficulties in learning, helping students go to school, progressive youth following Uncle Ho's teachings, 5 good students, scientific research with the amount ranging from 1 to 8 million VND/scholarship.

Former students who continue to study at other levels and training programs of the school are also granted scholarships from 3 to 10 million VND/person.

For candidates admitted to university in 2025, the school offers more than 700 different scholarships. Notably, there are 2 scholarships for the school's top students (according to two forms of admission: high school transcripts and high school exam scores): full scholarships for all 4 years of study, with 200% of tuition fees for the first year.

2 runners-up receive full scholarships for all 4 years of study, with 180% of tuition for the first year.

68 valedictorians receive full scholarships for all 4 years of study, with the first year receiving 150% of tuition fees.

Every year, Ho Chi Minh City Open University grants 4,000 scholarships with a total value of more than 40 billion VND to excellent students and students with difficult circumstances who strive to study and practice.
