On the morning of October 16, 2024, Vietnam Petroleum Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) was honored to welcome the Singaporean Consulate General delegation led by Mr. Pang Te Cheng - Consulate General of Singapore in Ho Chi Minh City, to visit the manufacturing yard at PTSC port base in Vung Tau. Welcoming the Singaporean Consulate General delegation, on the PTSC Corporation side, there was Deputy General Director Tran Ho Bac and leaders of functional departments, project departments and units in Vung Tau area.
At the meeting, representatives of PTSC Corporation introduced to the delegation of the Singapore Consulate General an overview of PTSC's history and core services, about PTSC's 200-hectare port base and manufacturing yard, as well as a number of projects that PTSC has, is and will be implementing in the near future. With efforts and endeavors in 2023, PTSC has secured contracts to ensure jobs until 2027 for workers. To implement these contracts for NLTTNK projects, PTSC is promoting the rearrangement of infrastructure, investing in new equipment, and leveling existing yard areas to enhance capacity, improve productivity, and manufacturing capacity towards mass production. Within the framework of the event, PTSC representatives also had an in-depth discussion with the delegation of the Singaporean Consulate General on the status of the offshore renewable energy export project from Vietnam to Singapore, implemented by the PTSC and Sembcorp consortium. This is also a pilot project of the Vietnamese Government in the field of offshore wind power, contributing to the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enhancing energy security of the country and the region.
Previously, on March 4, 2024, also in Vung Tau city, PTSC Corporation was honored to welcome a delegation from the Singaporean Government to visit PTSC's facilities. The delegation included representatives from the Singapore Embassy in Hanoi, the Singapore Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, the Ministry of Trade, the Energy Market Authority (EMA) and partner Semcorp Utilities (SCU).
