According to the Ministry of Information and Communications, recently, digital human resource development has been implemented in a concentrated direction, digital technology human resources meet new skills related to cloud computing, artificial intelligence, big data, system architecture, software engineering, interface design and user experience, network information security. A breakthrough result is digital universities, learners can study and take exams online, can use personalized digital learning materials, can be supported in learning by artificial intelligence.

In the preliminary report on the national digital transformation situation in the first 6 months of 2023, the Ministry of Information and Communications said that in terms of digital human resources, the Ministry of Education and Training has added 5 new majors to the undergraduate and postgraduate training programs, including: Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, Educational Technology and Financial Technology. According to statistics, the number of students enrolled in training for engineers and bachelors in computers and IT in 2022 reached 70,000, an increase of 16% compared to 2021.

Talking to VietNamNet earlier about the need to recruit IT personnel in Vietnam, Deputy Director of Navigos Search North Nguyen Thi Thu Giang predicted that in the coming time, the IT industry will still maintain its heat to serve Vietnam's digital transformation goals.

The representative of Navigos Search in the North also commented that the Vietnamese IT labor market is still lacking a large number of quality personnel who can meet recruitment needs, especially in fields that are receiving much attention in Vietnam such as artificial intelligence, data science and information security.

As a research and training unit under the Ministry of Information and Communications, in recent times, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology - PTIT has continuously opened new majors and training programs to meet the human resource needs in the digital age. In 2023 alone, along with the enrollment and training of two new programs, Data Engineering and Application-oriented IT, PTIT also decided to expand enrollment in the Control Engineering and Automation major oriented towards robotics and artificial intelligence for students who will study at the school's Hanoi training facility.

Specifically, according to PTIT's new announcement, in 2023, the Robotics and Artificial Intelligence-oriented Control and Automation Engineering major with the code "7520216" will enroll 60 students at the Hanoi campus, in addition to 85 students at the school's Ho Chi Minh City campus.

The Control and Automation Engineering major oriented towards robots and artificial intelligence was opened by PTIT in 2020 and in the past 2 years has only recruited and trained at the Ho Chi Minh City campus. This major focuses on providing knowledge of mechatronics, design, robot programming, modern control theories, deep learning application solutions, artificial intelligence to help robots and control devices become smarter.

PTIT representative said that to build a training program in Control and Automation Engineering oriented towards robotics and artificial intelligence, the Academy has cooperated with a number of universities in Japan to bring differences to students, including Guma University - the leading university in control theory and robot design and manufacturing in Japan.

This year's enrollment season, candidates who want to study the Control and Automation Engineering training program with the orientation of robotics and artificial intelligence of PTIT at both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City campuses will register for admission according to the subject groups A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry) and A01 (Math, Physics, English).

PTIT's total enrollment target for full-time undergraduate programs in 2023 is 4,345 students for both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City training facilities, with 16 majors and training programs.

Notably, this year the Academy plans to spend more than 53 billion VND on the scholarship fund, supporting students for 5 groups, including high-achieving incoming students. With the goal of attracting talent, PTIT has a special scholarship policy for incoming students, with a total value of up to 8 billion VND. Of which, there are 30 full scholarships for the entire course with a total value of about 3 billion VND.

The Academy also continues to maintain the scholarship policy for candidates with high achievements: 100% tuition fee exemption scholarship for the first year with a maximum of 100 scholarships for candidates who won prizes in international and national competitions for excellent students or candidates who won first, second, or third prizes in provincial and city competitions for excellent students in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Information Technology or achieved high results in the high school graduation exam; 50% tuition fee scholarship for the first year with a maximum of 300 scholarships for candidates who achieved high results in the high school graduation exam.

A new approach to digital human resource development Online knowledge training through online learning platforms is a new approach to digital skills training, aiming to become a digital nation.
