According to Oddity Central (UK), in the past few months, the robotics industry has witnessed some important breakthroughs. Typically, STAR1 - the world's fastest bipedal robot, and SE01 - stands out for its smooth movement ability. However, in terms of application in daily life, these robots still do not meet practical needs.

That could soon change thanks to the latest creation from 1X Robotics – the NEO Gamma.
This is a humanoid robot that can work as a butler, performing many household chores such as cleaning, vacuuming and even serving tea.
To create a more human-like feel, 1X teamed up with Shima Seiki, a Japanese knitting machine manufacturer, to create a soft suit that covers the NEO Gamma's metal body.
NEO Gamma is capable of performing a variety of flexible movements such as bending down to pick up objects, sitting on chairs, arranging items around the house, and even pouring tea.
The company used real human motion data to train robots to perform various movements in the most natural way.
The quietness of the NEO Gamma is also a notable point, especially when living with a robot in the house. Thanks to a drive system that simulates the working mechanism of human tendons, the NEO Gamma operates with a noise of only 10 dB, equivalent to the noise of a modern refrigerator.
Advanced artificial intelligence integration allows NEO Gamma to operate autonomously, while it also responds quickly to user commands through its four built-in microphones. NEO Gamma is not only capable of simple conversation, but can also play music through its built-in speakers in its pelvis.
“In the near future, we will have home robots like Rosie or Baymax,” said 1X CEO Bernd Bornig.
However, for humanoid robots to truly become a part of everyday life, they need to be developed alongside humans. We look forward to sharing more information about NEO Gamma soon.”
After the recent controversy over a humanoid robot in China that malfunctioned and behaved aggressively toward humans, the question is how many people would be willing to welcome robot butlers like NEO Gamma into their homes.
