Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to a report on the implementation of tourism stimulus activities in 2025.

On the afternoon of March 20, comrade Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to a report on the implementation of tourism stimulus activities in 2025.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the first quarter, tourism activities in the province were quite bustling, the number of visitors and tourists staying in the province increased sharply. Specifically: The total number of visitors and tourists is estimated at 890,000 (up 11.25% over the same period, reaching 24.7% of the plan); of which, international visitors are estimated at 63,000 (up 168.1% over the same period, reaching 42% of the plan), domestic visitors are estimated at 827,000. Social income from tourism activities is estimated at 1,060 billion VND.

Continuing to implement Plan No. 821/KH-UBND dated February 27, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee on implementing solutions to stimulate tourism in Ninh Thuan province in 2025, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will coordinate with relevant departments, branches, localities and units to advise on organizing 33 activities and events to stimulate and attract tourists in 2025. Accordingly, in April, strive to successfully implement 8 main activities, including: Organizing a golf tournament to support the Program "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" in Ninh Thuan province in 2025; organizing a delegation to survey, work and cooperate in the field of tourism in Jeju (Korea); participating in the 21st Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival in 2025; Vietnam International Tourism Fair - VITM Hanoi 2025; Organize activities to celebrate the 33rd anniversary of the province's re-establishment (April 1, 1992 - April 1, 2025), the 50th anniversary of Ninh Thuan Liberation Day (April 16, 1975 - April 16, 2025) and the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); organize traditional Ao Dai and sports folk dance performances in 2025; organize the beauty and model contest - "Miss All-round Entrepreneur Season 1 - 2025" in Ninh Thuan province and organize the Ninh Thuan Food Festival in 2025, contributing to the early completion of the goal of welcoming 3.6 million visitors and vacationers; of which, 150,000 are international visitors and an estimated 3,450,000 are domestic visitors; social income from tourism activities reaches 4,500 billion VND.

Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that, in addition to implementing the tasks according to the set plan, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism should coordinate with tourism businesses (accommodation establishments, travel agencies, tourist attractions, entertainment areas, etc.) to develop more new tourism programs and product packages with good service quality to increase the experience of tourists, diversify products and improve service quality. At the same time, monitor and urge tourism businesses to seriously ensure service quality when participating in stimulus activities; coordinate with localities in management, propaganda and mobilization of people to voluntarily and actively participate in maintaining security and order, environmental sanitation, practicing civilized lifestyles, respecting the law, and behaving civilly and friendly towards tourists. At the same time, strengthen the inspection and examination of compliance with state regulations for tourist accommodation establishments and travel businesses; coordinate the inspection and control of prices and quality of goods and services for tourists; strictly handle cases of non-compliance with price posting and selling at listed prices, regulations on food hygiene and safety, environmental hygiene at tourist areas, restaurants, hotels, sightseeing spots, and sale of goods for tourists; especially the inspection and reminder work to ensure safety for tourists at swimming pools and coastal beaches.
