(CLO) On February 28, Bac Ninh Provincial Police announced that they had just issued a decision to administratively fine TTA in Bac Ninh City 7.5 million VND for the act of "providing and sharing fake information, false information, distorting, slandering, and insulting the reputation of agencies, organizations, honor and dignity of individuals".
Previously, through the work of protecting internal political security, Bac Ninh Provincial Police discovered that the Zalo social network accounts of a number of people and officials in the province received messages with edited and incorrect information related to personnel arrangements for key officials and leaders of the province.

These are sensitive contents that can easily be used and distorted by bad elements, affecting internal political security and the implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies on streamlining the apparatus.
Conducting verification, Bac Ninh Provincial Police clarified and summoned the owner of Zalo account TTA, born in 1983, in Bac Ninh City. At the police station, TTA admitted that he had collected information through conversations with others.
To show that he was well-informed about the province's political situation, TTA composed the message himself and sent it to about 60 friends in his Zalo contact list. During the process, the account owner realized his actions and deleted the message content.
Bac Ninh Provincial Police continued to work with a number of citizens who had exchanged and talked with TTA. At the police station, these citizens admitted that the source of the above information was word of mouth, and the source of the information could not be determined.
On February 27, Bac Ninh Provincial Police issued a decision to administratively fine TTA 7.5 million VND for "providing and sharing fake information, false information, distorting, slandering, and insulting the reputation of agencies, organizations, and the honor and dignity of individuals".
Bac Ninh Provincial Police recommend that those who have received messages about the above content from TTA, or unverified sources of information about the organization and its officials, should not share or disseminate it on social networks.
