On February 28, Bac Ninh Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the decisions of the Minister of Public Security and the Director of the Provincial Police on the organizational model and personnel work according to Project No. 25.

Accordingly, Bac Ninh Provincial Police have dissolved 8 district-level police units and 74 team-level units under district-level police.

The new apparatus of the Provincial Police includes 26 department-level units, 121 commune-level police units and 4 industrial park police stations. After the reorganization, 8 leaders of the police units and localities have applied for retirement (7 department heads and 1 deputy department head).

8 district-level police leaders were transferred to hold the positions of heads of departments under the Provincial Police, and 36 deputy district-level police chiefs held the positions of deputy heads of departments.

Bac Ninh Provincial Police received 5 new tasks from departments and branches, including: state management of drug rehabilitation facilities and post-rehabilitation management, criminal records, testing and granting of road motor vehicle driving licenses, and network information security.

Also on the afternoon of February 28, at the headquarters of Nam Dinh Provincial Police, a conference was held to sign the handover of tasks from the departments to the Provincial Police.

Nam Dinh Provincial Police received 4 new tasks from departments and branches, including: State management of criminal records, drug addiction treatment and post-treatment management, testing and granting of road motor vehicle driving licenses, and network information security.

Colonel Nguyen Huu Manh, Director of Nam Dinh Provincial Police, said that the provincial police have made efforts to complete the restructuring of the apparatus and take on new tasks in a short time, ensuring continuous operation.
The provincial police director emphasized that "although work, functions and tasks have increased, the staff has not increased and the model has not changed."

The restructuring of the apparatus and taking on new tasks aims to improve the operational efficiency of the police of the two provinces, meeting the requirements of ensuring security and order in the new situation.
