At around 2:50 p.m. on May 26, on National Highway 5, through Co Dung Commune, Kim Thanh District, Hai Duong Province, a serious accident occurred, injuring many people.

Specifically, the tractor-trailer with license plate 15C-056.xx pulling the trailer 15R-050.xx driven by Mr. Phung Ngoc Quang (born in 1992, residing in Nam Thang commune, Nam Truc district, Nam Dinh province) traveling from Hanoi to Hai Phong collided with the back of the car with license plate 15C-396.xx that was stopped at a red light.

Car with license plate 15C-396.xx was driven by Ms. Pham Thi Huong (born in 1985, residing in Vinh Niem ward, Le Chan district, Hai Phong city), with her nephew NVH (born in 2004) in the car.

After the strong collision, Ms. Huong's car flipped over and collided with a motorbike with license plate number 34B4-307.xx that was stopped at a red light. The motorbike was driven by Mr. Cao Dang Cong Nguyen (born in 1999, residing in Tan Dan ward, Kinh Mon town, Hai Duong province), carrying Ms. Vu Thi My Ninh (born in 1998).

Upon receiving the news, traffic police and local police quickly arrived at the scene to tow the vehicle, clear the way, and regulate traffic.

A representative of the Traffic Police Department of Hai Duong Province Police said that the series of accidents injured Ms. Huong, H. and Ms. Ninh; 3 vehicles were damaged, with estimated property damage of about 60 million VND.

The initial cause was determined to be that Mr. Quang was driving the tractor trailer without paying attention, causing a traffic accident.

Kim Thanh district police are investigating the cause and clarifying the incident.
