Specifically, three organizations have committed to support, including: the Australian Government; AHA Center (an intergovernmental organization, established by the 10 ASEAN member states with the aim of facilitating cooperation and coordination in disaster management in the Southeast Asian region) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
On September 11, the first aid shipment from the Australian Government was transported by military aircraft to Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi). This shipment included: 284 personal hygiene kits; 120 kitchenware sets; 600 blankets; 264 home repair kits; 600 sleeping mats; 522 tarpaulins; 360 mosquito nets.

It is expected that on September 13-14, Vietnam will receive a shipment of aid from the AHA Center including: 2,002 household kits (including: plastic buckets, water bags, towels, T-shirts, mosquito nets, candles, FM radio); 1,008 home repair kits (including: ropes, hand saws, metal nails, shovels, hoes, scissors, corner nails, ties, hammers); 1,015 kitchen kits (including: pots, bowls, plates, knives, spoons, forks, cups, wooden ladles); 3,031 personal hygiene kits (including: laundry detergent, sanitary napkins, handkerchiefs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo).
On September 16-17, as planned, Vietnam will receive a shipment donated by JICA (Japan), including: 40 portable water purifiers (pump filter, ceramic filter core; filtration speed 4 liters/minute, maximum filtration capacity 100,000 liters); 200 multi-purpose plastic tarpaulins, HDPE plastic material, size 50x4m).

The aid shipments from international organizations were received by the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control at Noi Bai Airport and coordinated for transportation and handover to localities. The shipment sponsored by the Australian Government was delivered to Yen Bai on the evening of September 11. Local authorities organized the distribution to affected people.
A representative of the Department of Dyke Management and Disaster Prevention and Control said that the unit is continuing to discuss and work with a number of other organizations such as: UNWomen, Samaritan purse, Swiss Embassy, French Embassy, Save the Children... to agree on emergency support for people in areas affected by floods, flash floods and landslides.
