Many tourism products introduced at international conference on rural tourism

(Fatherland) - On December 11, news from the Department of Tourism of Quang Binh province said: The international conference on rural tourism was held in Quang Nam province from December 9-11 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) and the People's Committee of Quang Nam province. Many tourism products of Quang Binh province attracted delegates from countries around the world.

Participating in the important event of the Best Tourist Village Network, Quang Binh had a representative of Tan Hoa Tourist Village (Minh Hoa District) - the locality that won the Best Tourist Village award in 2023. At the conference, Quang Binh tourism shared experiences in building tourist villages, developing rural tourism products in the locality, and at the same time introduced information about tourism products, OCOP products and unique cuisine of Quang Binh province.

The first international conference on rural tourism and the second annual meeting of the UN Tourism Best Villages Network. This is the first global conference of UN Tourism on rural tourism, with the participation of more than 300 delegates from national and local management agencies in the country, member countries, international organizations, tourism communities, private sectors of about 50 countries and territories.

The second annual meeting of the UN Tourism Best Villages Network was also held to build the network's strategic framework and future development orientation.

The conference focused on three main topics: National and local policies to promote rural tourism development; engaging and empowering local communities in tourism development; developing tourism products, promoting innovation and facilitating market access for rural destinations.

OCOP products and unique cuisine of Quang Binh province have received attention from many international delegations.

The conference is an opportunity for tourism leaders, organizations, international and domestic experts, member countries of UN Tourism in general and Quang Binh in particular to learn, raise awareness, orient vision and issue and implement policies and solutions for rural tourism development suitable to the conditions of each country.

This is a "golden" opportunity for the Vietnamese tourism industry in general and Quang Binh tourism in particular to promote the image, brand and especially the potential and strengths of rural tourism to international friends, thereby creating momentum for rural tourism to develop into an important product.
