If parents decide everything for their children, do everything for them, and protect them too much, then the ability to think and perceive independently in teenagers will not exist. This leads to the consequence that when facing problems in life or changing learning or working environments, young people will have difficulty adapting to the situation.
Recently, when meeting many parents with children in high school, many people sighed, their hearts heavy when their children are about to leave the loving arms of their family, starting a completely new environment when entering university. According to many parents, since childhood their children have been cared for and protected by their family from food to sleep, not having to do anything other than focus on studying. When it comes time to go to school far from home, they do not know how to manage on their own.
Because of the fear of not knowing how their child would cope when changing their living environment, Mr. T.'s family (Bac Lieu City) decided to send their child to study at a provincial university, while his exam score was enough to get into a prestigious university in Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. T. shared: "We know that the learning conditions in Ho Chi Minh City will be better, but since he was little, he has been shy and has never been away from home, so I am very worried. After many days of hesitation and consideration, the whole family decided to send him to study at a university near home. Moreover, my child is also afraid that he will not be able to adapt to the dynamic and bustling living environment in Ho Chi Minh City."

Time is always moving, so in each of our lives, changes are inevitable. There are changes that everyone seems to have to go through over time. These changes will more or less lead to environmental and psychological impacts. If these changes are not adapted in time, it is easy to fall into a state of fear, stress and disappointment. Therefore, parents also need to equip their children with the skills to adapt to all situations. Adaptation skills are simply understood as the ability to adapt quickly and well enough to fluctuations and changes in circumstances and environment. And each young person should equip themselves with adaptation skills to better suit the current fast and hurried pace of life. When equipped with adaptation skills, young people will grasp opportunities as well as more easily cope with unexpected fluctuations.
Life around us can be likened to a colorful picture in which each person is an extremely vivid stroke. Each of us wants to affirm our position in the vast society, to become a magical dot on that picture of life. However, when we first look at life, we must also imagine the path we will take. It is not as sweet as the candy we ate as children, nor as magical as the fairy tales our grandmothers often told us, but it is a real world, full of difficulties, thorns and challenges. Therefore, to be able to survive in this life, people need to have a vivid worldview and must always change flexibly, adapting to all circumstances. And reality has proven that people who know how to change themselves are always successful thanks to going through challenges, experiencing, training their will, determination, and having faith in themselves.
