GĐXH - The man had a heart attack and had a history of smoking cigarettes and tobacco for many years.
Recently, doctors at the Cardiology Department of Hung Vuong General Hospital said they had received a special patient - Mr. NK, 53 years old, Indian nationality, hospitalized in critical condition.
It is known that the patient had a history of smoking cigarettes and tobacco for many years and came to the hospital because of severe chest pain.
Upon admission, Mr. NK was in a state of cardiogenic shock, with severe blood pressure drop (70/40 mmHg), and slow heart rate (50 beats/minute). Initial diagnosis was: Cardiogenic shock - Acute ST elevation myocardial infarction.
In particular, percutaneous coronary angiography images showed extremely serious damage to the three main arterial trunks:
- RCA artery 99% stenosis.
- PDA completely blocked.
- LAD stenosis 95%, LCx chronic occlusion.
The patient is in life-threatening condition without timely intervention.
Faced with the critical situation, the medical team immediately activated the "top-notch plan":
- Use vasopressors to raise free-falling blood pressure.
- Place a temporary pacemaker to keep the heart rate stable.
- Immediate coronary intervention using advanced techniques, implementing 3 stent placement to cover all dangerous lesions.
In just a short time, with the superior expertise and smooth coordination of Dr. Piter and his colleagues in the Cardiology Department, the intervention was successful. When the last stent was placed, Mr. NK's heart regained its normal rhythm.
After the intervention, Mr. NK was more alert, his blood pressure was stable, and his chest pain was significantly reduced. The patient was discharged from the hospital happily and his health recovered after 5 days of treatment.
