Artist Hong Dao reveals behind-the-scenes preparation of sour soup in Hollywood movie

In recent days, Vietnamese audiences have been extremely excited about the movie Beef, which has been shown on Netflix. The first reason why the public is especially interested in this movie is because it features the female artist Hong Dao.

Not only that, what the audience enjoyed most when watching the movie was the appearance of the image of a bowl of sour soup with a strong Vietnamese flavor in the Hollywood movie.

The artist shared: "In the past few days, Hong Dao has received many articles, TikTok clips, and Facebook posts reporting that I participated in a guest role in the Netflix series Beef with very lovely compliments and encouragement.

I would like to sincerely thank the press and media for supporting Hong Dao in her new job. Actually, it is still my job but in a new environment. The day Beef was filmed in West Hollywood, the first time I met the crew, although they were very friendly, I still felt it was strange. At that time, there was only one familiar thing, which was the bowl of sour soup that the prop girls were preparing for the scene about to be filmed.

Hong Dao said that the film's producers were very thoughtful and attentive in preparing this special prop. The actress said: "They even asked me if I had bought the right sour soup? While I was working with the director, suddenly a Vietnamese voice said: "Hello, miss". My feeling when I heard that greeting was exactly like: "I love my mother tongue, since I was born..."

Turning around, it was Ali Wong, the female lead in the film. We quickly got to know each other and chatted. She made me feel close and comfortable playing the role of Amy's mother."

The female artist affirmed that the film brought her special memories: "A beautiful memory in my life".
