To celebrate the founding day of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, young people in the capital Hanoi volunteered to beautify the streets and provide free medical examinations to the poor.

On March 23, Hanoi Youth Union organized the program "Union Day" - the peak day of "Volunteering to join hands to build new rural areas" and "Green Sunday" in 2025.
The program "Union Day" connects union members and young people through practical activities for the community.

Youth union members from Dai Ang commune (Thanh Tri, Hanoi) came to the main road of the commune early in the morning. Each person helped clean up the trash along the roadside, planted more flowers and hung the national flag. The entire road of more than 3 kilometers was covered with flags on the green carpet.

At Van Dien Cultural House (Tu Hiep Commune, Thanh Tri), the union members painted murals and installed toys for the children.
According to the Hanoi Youth Union, the peak day will be deployed simultaneously at 100% of commune-level Youth Union bases in the capital, while the "Green Sunday" program will be launched at 100% of district-level Youth Union bases, towns and affiliated schools.
Young people collect garbage together, clear sewers, join hands to make mural roads, "blooming electric poles", "light up the countryside roads"...

Ms. Chu Hong Minh, Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union, said that "Youth Union Day" is not only an occasion to demonstrate the role of the Youth Union organization towards its members, but also an opportunity for young people to work together to do practical and meaningful work.
"The activities carried out on this day will contribute to promoting the sense of responsibility towards the community, enhancing the solidarity of the Youth Union, and at the same time demonstrating the noble and humane gestures of the capital's youth joining hands to build an increasingly better society," said Ms. Minh.
Young doctor examines former youth volunteer in difficult circumstances
Immediately after the launching ceremony, young doctors from the Central Endocrinology Hospital, Tan Trieu K Hospital and Agricultural Hospital provided general examinations for former youth volunteers and people in difficult circumstances.

In addition to the usual medical examination equipment, young doctors and nurses bring electrocardiogram machines, ultrasound machines, medicines... to the district cultural center to examine patients.
Other union members divided themselves to visit and give gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, families with meritorious services, and recruit young union members.
The Organizing Committee also inaugurated a traffic safety school gate and a friendly toilet at Ngo Thi Nham Primary School (Ta Thanh Oai Commune); and inaugurated the "Mural Painting" and "Youth Flower Garden" projects in Tu Hiep Commune.
Youth Union branches in the capital also donated items in response to the program to prevent and combat plastic waste and gave gifts to students in difficult circumstances.
