The 4th Quarter of the 23rd Road to Olympia (broadcast on the afternoon of October 1) witnessed a dramatic competition with 4 male students from 4 specialized schools in Tien Giang, Da Nang, Hai Phong and Quang Ngai.
The candidates include: Tran Dang Khoa (Tien Giang High School for the Gifted, Tien Giang); Hoang Ngoc Thinh (Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Da Nang), Nguyen Trong Thanh (Tran Phu High School for the Gifted, Hai Phong) and Vo Nguyen Minh Triet (Le Khiet High School for the Gifted, Quang Ngai).
Nguyen Trong Thanh (Tran Phu High School for the Gifted, Hai Phong) surpassed 3 other players.
Entering the first round - Starting with three intense rounds of questions, Trong Thanh took the lead with 100 points, Dang Khoa 60 points, Minh Triet 50 points and Ngoc Thinh 5 points.
The keywords to be searched for in the quarter round of the Obstacle Course with 9 keywords. The first selected horizontal line has the question: "Vietnamese law defines: "... nation is the stability and sustainable development of the socialist regime and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the inviolability of independence, sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the Fatherland". Dang Khoa and Minh Triet scored points with the answer "Security".
Right after the first question, contestant Dang Khoa quickly pressed the bell to gain the right to answer the keyword of the obstacle course round. With the correct answer "Food", the male student from Tien Giang High School for the Gifted took the lead with 120 points. Trong Thanh got 100 points, Minh Triet got 60 points, Ngoc Thinh got 5 points.
The Acceleration round, with tricky questions, made the race between the contestants even more intense. After four rounds of questions, Trong Thanh regained the lead with 180 points. Dang Khoa followed closely behind with 170 points, followed by Minh Triet with 140 points and Ngoc Thinh with 95 points.
In the Finish Line round, Trong Thanh was the first contestant to take the test, choosing three questions worth 20 - 20 - 30 points. The Hai Phong male student had a perfect performance to finish with 250 points.
Dang Khoa chose three questions worth 20 - 30 - 20 points and chose Hope Star for the last question. Dang Khoa scored the first and last questions; let Minh Triet score the second question. The male student from Tien Giang came in second with 210 points.
Minh Triet with 170 points, chose three questions each worth 20 points. Minh Triet only scored on the second question; the remaining two questions were won by Dang Khoa and Trong Thanh. The male student from Quang Ngai came in second with 150 points.
Ngoc Thinh with 95 points was the last contestant to compete, choosing three questions worth 30 - 30 - 30 points and choosing Hope Star in the last question. Ngoc Thinh scored on the second question, leaving Trong Thanh to score on the remaining two questions. The male student from Da Nang finished in second place with 65 points.
In the final result, Nguyen Trong Thanh (Tran Phu High School for the Gifted, Hai Phong) with 330 points won the laurel wreath in the fourth quarter, entered the Finals of Olympia 23 and brought the live television broadcast to the port city.

Tran Dang Khoa (Tien Giang High School for the Gifted, Tien Giang) came in second place with 220 points. Also in third place were Vo Nguyen Minh Triet (Le Khiet High School for the Gifted, Quang Ngai) with 150 points and Hoang Ngoc Thinh (Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Da Nang) with 65 points.
Thus, four male students will compete for the championship of Road to Olympia 23 in the final round of the year, including: Nguyen Viet Thanh (Soc Son High School, Hanoi), Nguyen Minh Triet (Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted - Thua Thien Hue), Le Xuan Manh (Ham Rong High School, Thanh Hoa), Nguyen Trong Thanh (Tran Phu High School for the Gifted, Hai Phong).
