Mang Thit: 100% of communes meet new rural standards

On the afternoon of March 21, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Phuoc Commune (Mang Thit) solemnly held a ceremony to announce the commune meeting the NTM standards in 2024. This is the 11th commune in Mang Thit district to announce meeting the NTM standards, bringing the total number of communes in the district to 100% to meet the NTM standards.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Trang - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Vinh Long province awarded certificates of merit to individuals.

Up to now, the economy of Binh Phuoc commune continues to develop, the material and spiritual life of the people is constantly improving, the traffic infrastructure is increasingly invested in and improved. Residential housing is invested in expansion and upgrading, raising the rate of standard housing to 97.83%.

Households using tap water from the centralized water supply system reached 88.29%. The multidimensional poverty rate decreased by 0.74%. Per capita income reached 59.12 million VND/year. Political security and social order and safety were maintained and stabilized.

Mr. Nguyen Van Liet - Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded the provincial emulation flag, certificate of recognition for Binh Phuoc commune meeting NTM standards and supported welfare works worth 1 billion VND.

Mr. Nguyen Chi Quyet - Vice Chairman of Mang Thit District People's Committee, noted that Binh Phuoc commune should uphold the spirit of solidarity and unity within the entire Party Committee, promote democracy, so that people can truly become the main subjects in building new rural areas. In addition, continue to complete the essential infrastructure system, create conditions for socio-economic development, increase the level of direct enjoyment for rural residents such as transportation, electricity, water, etc.

At the same time, promote the application of science and technology in production to improve the productivity and quality of crops and livestock; create a chain linking production to consumption of agricultural products; associate with the development of rural industries, create more new jobs, and increase income for people.

Mr. Tran Thanh Lam - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee awarded 10 scholarships to students, worth 1 million VND/scholarship.
