Lexus Challenge 2025 - the opening tournament of the 2025 season of professional golf in Vietnam - ended today (March 21). The final round had 57 athletes participating, taking place at The Bluffs Ho Tram (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) with many surprises. The championship belonged to Filipino golfer Ahmad Baig.
The Lexus Challenge 2025 champion finished the tournament with a total score of -8 after 3 days of competition. The Filipino player set a tournament record by becoming the athlete with the highest total score in the final round. His first two rounds were Even Par and (-4). Ahmad Baig will receive a prize of 15,750 USD.
The 2025 Vietnam Professional Golf Season determined the first champions after the Lexus Challenge final round.
The players tied for second place - just one stroke ahead of the champion - were Filip Lundell, Juvic Pagunsan and Sam Broadhurst. There were three players tied for fifth place - Amarin Kraivixien, Kammalas Namuangruk and Waris Manthorn -5.
Vietnam has 4 athletes competing in round 3: Nguyen Nhat Long, Tran Le Duy Nhat, Nguyen Tuan Kiet and Nguyen Quang Za Vinh. Of which, Nguyen Quang Za Vinh is the amateur athlete with the best results in the tournament and won the title of "Best Amateur". After 3 days of competition, the athlete born in 2010 ranked 56th with a total score of +13.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Nhat Long and Tran Le Duy Nhat (+4) tied for 30th place. Nguyen Tuan Kiet ranked 54th with a total score of 12.
