On December 16, the Provincial People's Committee and the Military Service Council (NVQS) of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province held a conference to implement the Law on Defense Industry, Security and Industrial Mobilization; and assigned targets for selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2025. Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Military Service Council chaired the conference.
The conference was attended by leaders of Military Region 7, the Provincial Military Command and departments, branches and localities.
At the conference, delegates were informed of the plan to implement Decree 04 on mobilizing human resources and civilian vessels to participate in protecting maritime sovereignty; approved the plan to implement the Law on National Defense Industry, Security and Industrial Mobilization. At the same time, the conference also announced the decision to assign targets for selecting citizens to join the army and assign targets for training and rehearsing reserve forces in 2025.

In his speech, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Tho emphasized that military recruitment must strictly comply with the Law on Military Service and related directives, ensuring the quantity and quality of soldiers. At the same time, he requested the Provincial Military Command, departments, branches and localities to strengthen coordination and propaganda to raise awareness among young people about the duty to protect the Fatherland.
Along with that, it is necessary to improve the quality of selection, closely organize the steps in the military recruitment process, safely hand over soldiers, and meet the quotas... Localities need to focus on implementing the military rear policy well, and encourage young people to fulfill their duties to the Fatherland./.
