Before the start of the parade, there was an artistic formation with the theme “The Country is Full of Joy”. The artistic formation was performed by artists and soldiers of the Military Ceremonial Corps, General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army.
Notably, the art puzzle included a gun dance and the appearance of the flag of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam. The flag has a yellow star on a red and blue background, meaning the upper half (red) represents the independent North, the lower half (blue) represents the not-yet-independent South.
