Accordingly, the Department of Home Affairs will organize the selection of service providers to pay preferential allowances to meritorious people in An Giang province in two forms (in cash or non-cash) from June 1, 2025 in accordance with regulations, ensuring that meritorious people receive the correct, sufficient, and timely preferential regimes. The implementation period is to be completed before May 31, 2025.

The implementation of this plan aims to promote non-cash payments in the payment of preferential allowances for meritorious people in many modern and convenient ways, contributing to the development of e-Government, digital Government, improving the accessibility of modern payment services of the economy. Strengthen the application of information technology, digital transformation. Promote the provision of online public services in the field of social security, ensuring timely, fast, public, transparent payment and saving administrative costs.

In 2024, the whole province will have over 40,000 meritorious people being managed and enjoying preferential treatment. Of which, monthly preferential allowances will be paid to about 6,000 people, and annual allowances will be paid to about 10,000 people with a budget of over 200 billion VND; the rest have enjoyed related benefits according to regulations.
