Posthumously awarded the title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother to 3 Mothers

Speaking at the ceremony to confer the title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh said that this is an opportunity to honor and express gratitude to heroes, martyrs, and people with revolutionary contributions, and also an opportunity to educate the young generation on the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source" and "Repaying gratitude" in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee respectfully expressed gratitude and honored the contributions and sacrifices of heroic martyrs, heroic Vietnamese mothers, wounded soldiers, relatives of martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution.

Over the years, Da Nang has been awarded and posthumously awarded 3,384 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers by the President.

Caring for the lives of wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, families of martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution has become a major policy of the city. In addition to the policies prescribed by the Central Government, the city has issued specific policies to improve the living standards of people with meritorious services such as: regular subsidies for elderly or sick policy beneficiaries, families in difficult circumstances and receiving low-level subsidies; giving gifts on War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27, and Lunar New Year every year; supporting health care and monthly support policies for people with meritorious services, relatives of people with meritorious services who are no longer able to work and belong to poor households according to the city's standards; supporting house repairs, etc.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh posthumously awarded the State honorary title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother" to the representative of the relatives of Mother Tran Thi Su.

The annual investment from the city budget for gratitude work shows the deep concern of the city leaders in this work with more than 100 billion VND/year, more than 50,000 beneficiaries.

Thereby, contributing to gradually improving the living standards of policy families and ensuring social security for the city.

Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh posthumously awarded the State honorary title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother" to the representative of Mother Tran Thi Tuyen's relatives.

Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh requested all levels, sectors, localities, and socio-political organizations to continue to join hands to better care for the material and spiritual life of those with meritorious services. Consider it a sentiment, honor, and responsibility towards those who have contributed to the cause of national liberation, unification, construction, and protection of the country. At the same time, he hoped that Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, relatives of mothers, and families of those with meritorious services would uphold the tradition of patriotism, maintain good qualities, and be worthy of being a shining example for future generations to follow.

At the ceremony, the city solemnly awarded the State honorary title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother" to 3 mothers of the city: Mother Le Thi Dan, Mother Tran Thi Su, Mother Tran Thi Tuyen.

Awarding many Medals, Certificates of Merit to outstanding groups and individuals

Within the framework of the program, the city awarded Labor Medals of various classes to 2 collectives; awarded and posthumously awarded Labor Medals of various classes to 15 individuals for their contributions; awarded Labor Medals of various classes to 15 individuals for their achievements and meritorious services.

Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang presented the President's Labor Medal to two groups.

Awarding the Emulation Flag and Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to 6 groups and 48 individuals. Awarding the Glorious Youth Volunteer Medal to 14 individuals.

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Le Van Trung and Head of the Organizing Committee of the City Party Committee Doan Duy Tan awarded the Emulation Flag and Certificate of Merit of the Prime Minister to the collectives.
