In addition, T&T Group is continuing to develop and invest in many renewable energy projects, low-carbon emission projects such as solar power, onshore and offshore wind power, biomass power, LNG power, converting raw materials from coal-fired thermal power plants to LNG, battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing plants, researching new types of energy such as hydrogen, ammonia... to supply electricity to the national grid, sell electricity to FDI enterprises under the direct power purchase mechanism DPPA, provide energy storage solutions for renewable energy plants, provide green electricity to produce green hydrogen, many projects have been approved in the Plan to implement the VIII Power Plan and are continuing to be added to the adjusted VIII Power Plan. T&T Group is preparing the necessary conditions to deploy investment in construction and put projects into operation in the 2026-2030 period.

By 2035, the total capacity of T&T Group's power sources will reach 16 GW - 18 GW, accounting for about 10% of the total capacity of Vietnam's power system and becoming the leading provider of energy storage solutions (BESS) in Vietnam.

T&T Group is continuing to develop and invest in many renewable energy projects at home and abroad.

In early January 2025, within the framework of the Vietnam - Laos Investment Cooperation Conference, witnessed by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, the Lao Ministry of Planning and Investment, on behalf of the Government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, awarded the concession contract ("Concession Agreement") for the Savan 1 wind power project to Savan 1 Wind Power Company Limited (a member unit of T&T Group).

Accordingly, T&T Group and its partners have invested in the Savan 1 wind power plant project in Savanakhet province (Laos) with a total installed capacity of up to 495 MW and a total investment of about 768 million USD to sell electricity to Vietnam according to the electricity import policy approved by the Government. According to the plan, phase 1 of the project has an installed capacity of 300 MW, a total investment of more than 490 million USD and will be put into commercial operation by the end of 2025.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh, Chairman of T&T Energy, the investment in Savan 1 Wind Power Plant and the connection with the national transmission grid are of great significance, contributing to increasing the power supply for the national power system, gradually realizing the cooperation commitment between Vietnam and Laos as well as in line with the electricity import orientation in the National Power Development Plan approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 500/QD-TTg dated May 15, 2023.

“The project is an important milestone, marking the beginning of T&T Group's "cross-border" energy investment strategy,” emphasized T&T Group Deputy General Director Nguyen Thi Thanh Binh.

Savan 1 wind power plant will be the largest onshore wind power project that Mr. Hien's enterprise has invested in so far, contributing to expanding T&T Group's investment portfolio to realize the goal that by 2035, the total power generation capacity of renewable energy and low-carbon emission power plants is expected to reach about 12-15 GW, accounting for about 10% of the total installed capacity of Vietnam's power system.

Established under Decision No. 38/2004/QD-BNV dated May 21, 2004 of the Ministry of Home Affairs, after more than two decades of formation and development, the Vietnam Energy Association has always demonstrated its important role as a social-professional organization, with an independent critical voice, contributing to the cause of national energy development. The Vietnam Energy Association is also a bridge connecting individuals and organizations operating in the energy sector with state management agencies, international organizations and enterprises.

From an organization with about 200 members when it was established, the Vietnam Energy Association now has over 370 members, including corporations, state-owned corporations, private enterprises and foreign organizations operating in the energy sector such as EVN, PVN, Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group, etc.
