On this occasion, Dong Khoi Newspaper reporter had an interview with Nguyen Truc Hanh - Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department - Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the workshop on the above content.

* Dear Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department! Could you please tell us the purpose and significance of this conference?

- Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Truc Hanh: The ministerial-level scientific conference "The life and revolutionary career of comrade Nguyen Thi Dinh" will take place on March 15, 2025 on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the birth of Female General - Hero of the People's Armed Forces - former Vice President of the State Council Nguyen Thi Dinh, held in Ben Tre province.

The purpose of this workshop is to review the life and revolutionary activities of comrade Nguyen Thi Dinh; to express gratitude and honor her great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party, the Vietnamese people and her homeland Ben Tre. At the same time, the workshop is an opportunity to educate and propagate revolutionary traditions, and to spread the exemplary revolutionary example of comrade Nguyen Thi Dinh among cadres, party members and people of all walks of life.

Based on the results of the scientific conference, the Provincial Party Committee will coordinate with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the central ministries and branches to develop a project to propose to the Politburo and the Secretariat to recognize Comrade Nguyen Thi Dinh as a typical leader of the Party and the Vietnamese revolution. Therefore, the conference is a very important and meaningful political activity to enhance the education of pride in the revolutionary tradition of the heroic homeland of Ben Tre Dong Khoi, especially for Comrade Nguyen Thi Dinh - the spiritual leader and soul of the Dong Khoi in 1960, the one who gave birth to the legendary "Long-haired Army", the first and only female general of the Vietnam People's Army.

* How were preparations carried out to make the workshop a success?

- Based on close coordination between the co-chairing agencies, the Steering Committee and the Organizing Committee of the workshop also met to deploy the work right from the issuance of the workshop plan. At the same time, regularly check and urge the work content in each field, each department of the agency, and the consulting unit. Up to this point, it can be affirmed that the workshop preparation work has been focused on and implemented very urgently, seriously and ensuring the progress as well as the requirements of the content and quality of the work.

Firstly , in terms of content, the Organizing Committee of the conference received nearly 80 papers from authors in central agencies, ministries, branches, military regions, leaders of provinces and cities, scientific researchers in the central government and in research institutes and schools in localities to collect and complete the conference proceedings. At the same time, the program, script and related content have been planned to serve the conference to ensure its success.

Secondly , regarding information, propaganda and visual agitation work, the Provincial Party Committee focused on leadership and orientation, including providing information to newspapers and radio stations to enhance propaganda about the Workshop "The life and revolutionary career of comrade Nguyen Thi Dinh" before, during and after the workshop.

Third, up to this point, the province has finished issuing invitations to delegates; the reception, logistics, security, and medical services for the conference have been assigned by the co-hosting agencies and are urgently preparing these contents.

* What is the magnitude and expectations of this important event?

- This workshop had a total of over 300 delegates attending, with the participation and chairing of leaders of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.

The workshop was also attended by leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, leaders of central departments, ministries, branches, Military Region 7, Military Region 9, along with representatives of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, provinces such as Dong Thap, Binh Phuoc, Phu Yen, Tay Ninh. At the same time, there was the participation of provincial leaders through the periods, representatives of relatives and family of comrade Nguyen Thi Dinh. Along with that, there was the participation of nearly 80 authors of papers from across the country who sent them to edit the conference proceedings.

With objective, scientific, responsible and relatively comprehensive comments on the life and revolutionary career of comrade Nguyen Thi Dinh, it is hoped that the conference will achieve its goals and requirements and be a great success.

After the workshop, with the information and propaganda of the press and radio system inside and outside the province, the positive values ​​as well as the typical example of comrade Nguyen Thi Dinh will be spread to cadres, party members and people not only in the province but also in the whole country to understand more fully and deeply about the life and revolutionary career, the typical example of comrade Nguyen Thi Dinh for the Vietnamese revolution, for the homeland of Ben Tre. Cadres, party members and people of all walks of life will strive to follow the example of Ms. Ba Dinh - comrade Nguyen Thi Dinh, the heroic female general, the outstanding daughter of Ben Tre homeland in the new Dong Khoi in the heroic homeland of Ben Tre Dong Khoi, contributing to the development of the province and the country in the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.
