According to Dan Tri, the new players could be called up to the national team for the first time, such as goalkeeper Filip Nguyen, defender Le Ngoc Bao, midfielder Le Pham Thanh Long, or they could be those who have been called up to the national team before but have not played in official tournaments under coach Park Hang Seo.
This list includes midfielders Hai Long, Duc Chien, and Trieu Viet Hung. These players are not bad in terms of ability, but they have not had the opportunity to show their talent in the national team.
The most notable rookie is goalkeeper Filip Nguyen (official name after obtaining Vietnamese nationality is Nguyen Filip). Although he is a rookie, he is probably one of the most skilled players in the current Vietnamese team.
Filip Nguyen has experience playing in Europe, having participated in the Europa League, so there is almost no doubt about his ability. Although he has just been called up to the Vietnam national team for the first time, Filip Nguyen is even capable of taking the official playing position of goalkeeper Dang Van Lam.
Filip Nguyen has Czech nationality but was born in Slovakia, tall (1m91), quick reflexes, good at catching the ball, good at playing with his feet, good at controlling the 16m50 area. In general, Filip Nguyen is well-rounded when considering the level of Vietnamese football.
Meanwhile, Le Pham Thanh Long is the player who plays the role of the central midfielder of the Hanoi Police Club at the time when Quang Hai has not regained his peak form after many weeks of returning home.

Hai Long is a promising midfielder. Former coach of the Vietnam national team Phan Thanh Hung once commented that Hai Long could replace Quang Hai's role as conductor in the future.

Trieu Viet Hung is in good form at Hai Phong Club. Even though Thai Son is "quite unknown", Coach Troussier still sees his strengths and trains him to become a useful central midfielder for the national team. Trieu Viet Hung is completely capable of wearing the national team shirt at this time.
The midfield of the Vietnamese team already has many technicians such as Quang Hai, Tuan Anh, Hoang Duc. Therefore, the team needs players with muscular strength and strong play like Trieu Viet Hung to create balance in the midfield.
If more muscle is needed, Coach Troussier can give Duc Chien a chance. Recently, Duc Chien has played as a defensive midfielder at The Cong Viettel, right behind conductor Hoang Duc.
Duc Chien is 1m81 tall, strong in one-on-one combat and good at aerial combat. Against opponents with physical advantages like Iraq and Indonesia (after they naturalized a series of players born in Europe), Duc Chien will help the midfield of the Vietnamese team increase their ability to compete and stick to opponents.
