The quarter-finals of the 3rd Vietnam Youth and Student Football Tournament - 2025, sponsored by THACO , have concluded with the remaining two matches taking place today. As a result, the semi-final pairings have been determined.
In the quarter-final match held at 3:30 PM, Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports defeated Van Hien University with a score of 2-1.
Despite taking an early 2-0 lead thanks to Vu Viet Hoang, Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports struggled to hold on until the very last minutes. Coach Pham Minh's team conceded a goal to reduce the deficit to 1-2, then fought hard against the pressure before successfully preserving their narrow lead.

In the quarter-final match held at 5:45 PM, Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism defeated Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology with a score of 1-0, thanks to the only goal scored by captain Le Van Thuc in the 71st minute.
Van Thuc's goal helped the team from Thanh Hoa overcome a very difficult match. Although they ultimately lost, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology played fairly against their opponent. The efforts of coach Nguyen Quoc Nam and his team will serve as a foundation for them to make a stronger comeback next year.
Thus, this year's semi-finals will be an exciting showdown. Semi-final 1 will be a clash between two newcomers, while semi-final 2 will be between two veterans.
- In the first semi-final match, which took place at 3:30 PM on March 14th, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry faced Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism .
- In the second semi-final match, which took place at 5:45 PM on March 14th, Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports competed against Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports .
Notably, all four teams are making their first appearance in the semi-finals of the Vietnam Youth and Student Football Tournament. In particular, Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry are participating in the finals for the first time, yet they have already secured their places in the semi-finals.
In the quarter-final matches held yesterday (March 11), Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry won with a minimal score of 1-0 against Quy Nhon University thanks to an early goal by Thach Tri Tuong. Meanwhile, Da Nang University of Sports and Physical Education drew 3-3 with Ton Duc Thang University, before winning 5-4 in a thrilling penalty shootout.
