Nguyen Dinh Bac broke his toe during the training session of U22 Vietnam this afternoon (March 12). The striker born in 2004 will need at least 3 months for treatment and recovery. This means that Dinh Bac will not be able to participate in the tour of U22 Vietnam in China and will be out of action for the rest of the 2024-2025 season.
The player from Nghe An can still recover in time and return to play before U22 Vietnam participates in the U23 Asian qualifiers (taking place at the end of September) and the 33rd SEA Games (scheduled to start in December in Thailand). These are the two most important tournaments for U22 Vietnam in 2025.
Dinh Bac will be out of action for the rest of the 2024-2025 V.League season.
Dinh Bac is a prominent factor of the current U22 Vietnam team. This player has a lot of experience playing internationally at youth levels, and was highly regarded by coach Philippe Troussier in the Vietnam national team. Under coach Kim Sang-sik, Dinh Bac was not given a chance in the Vietnam national team but was still considered a pillar in the U22 team.
In V.League 2023-2024, Dinh Bac played 15 matches in 16 rounds (9 starting matches) and scored 1 goal for Hanoi Police Club. He is among the players with the most appearances in V.League in the current U22 Vietnam squad.
