Expelled from the Party Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long

(NLDO) – Before being disciplined by the Party, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long was prosecuted, indicted, and imprisoned for the crimes of "accepting bribes" and "embezzlement of property".

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long was expelled from the Party.

On December 8, the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of the Quang Binh Provincial Agencies Bloc announced that the agency had decided to expel from the Party Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long - former Party Cell Secretary, Deputy Director in charge of the Quang Binh Provincial Motor Vehicle Inspection Center, due to serious violations of Party regulations and the law.

Specifically, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long was not exemplary in performing his assigned duties and tasks; violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and was prosecuted, indicted, and imprisoned for the crimes of "accepting bribes" and "embezzlement of property".

As reported by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper , during the period from 2020 to 2022, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long accepted to make documents for car renovation and design changes for some car owners in need, with a fee of 6-14 million VND/document, depending on the type of car. In total, Mr. Long received bribes of more than 683 million VND to make illegal documents for 73 cars.

For the above violations, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long was sentenced to 7 years in prison.
