Another network operator commercializes 5G, price from 80,000 VND

On March 26, MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation officially announced the provision of 5G services, with the first phase focusing on the centers of major provinces and cities.

MobiFone said that in the coming time, it will continue to make efforts to expand coverage, aiming to cover 5G to every commune in all provinces and cities nationwide.

This network operator deploys 5G network on the 3,800-3,900 MHz band. MobiFone's 5G network speed can reach 1.5 Gbps, 10-15 times faster than 4G and has very low latency.

MobiFone 5G network is deployed simultaneously on both 5G NSA (non stand alone) and 5G SA (stand alone) architecture platforms.

For business customers, MobiFone announced over 100 products, covering 8 key areas of national digital transformation priority, including: industrial production, smart cities, energy, agriculture, healthcare, education, transportation and smart tourism.

For individual customers with a 4G SIM and a 5G phone, they can immediately use the service in the 5G coverage area without having to change SIM.

At the time of officially providing 5G service, MobiFone introduced 6 5G packages, including three packages of 200,000 VND/month, capacity of 6-8 GB/day; packages of 135,000 and 159,000 VND with capacity of 6-7 GB/day.

Notably, MobiFone is the first network operator to offer a monthly package with the lowest price of 80,000 VND, 1 GB/day capacity, and free access to YouTube.

In addition, MobiFone also offers 30GB/15 days free for users who register via SMS using 5G phones.

Thus, currently, all three major network operators in Vietnam have provided commercial 5G services. Previously, Viettel started commercial operations in October 2024, and VNPT in December 2024.
