Support for participants in the OCOP Program

BTO-The provincial Department of Rural Development has just organized a training course on the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program, aiming to guide and improve the capacity of entities with OCOP products from 2020 and new entities participating in the program in 2024.

In this training session, the subjects including cooperatives, cooperative groups, enterprises, production establishments, and business households were introduced to the contents of implementing the OCOP cycle and completing the dossier to participate in product evaluation and classification according to Decision No. 148/QD-TTg dated February 24, 2023 of the Prime Minister. This is an important step to help the subjects understand the plan and content of the program, visualize the process and grasp the criteria and principles of the program, thereby having a basis for building product ideas.

The reporter spent most of the time guiding the content of building and implementing business production plans/projects, developing products and writing product stories. The subjects were supported and guided on how to develop their products from building production plans to creating product stories. At the same time, they understood the requirements of the Criteria Set on: raw material sources; using local labor; training/coaching on skills; expanding production scale; quality standards; packaging, product labels; developing links and expanding distribution channels...

Through training, subjects are provided with the necessary knowledge and skills on standards and procedures for evaluating and classifying products, thereby creating high-quality products.

It is known that after more than 4 years of implementing the OCOP Program, the whole province has had 128 products of 82 subjects achieving OCOP stars, including: 94 3-star products, 32 4-star products, 2 potential 5-star products. There is 1 point to introduce and sell OCOP products and 1 digital software to deploy the program to support OCOP councils at all levels in scoring products.
