From Dong Nai, Ms. Le Thi Kim Loan had the opportunity to start a business in Gia Nghia. Currently, Ms. Loan and her family live in residential group 2, Nghia Thanh ward, selling fruits. Gia Nghia has become a new land and she has been attached to it for 20 years.

Choosing Gia Nghia as the place to build a new life, Ms. Loan shared her emotional story: "I came to Gia Nghia in 2004. At that time, I was only 22 years old. At that time, I got married and started my career here. Now I am 44 years old but I still remember the first days when I first came to Gia Nghia."

Ms. Le Thi Kim Loan and her family live in residential group 2, Nghia Thanh ward and have been attached to Gia Nghia land for 20 years.

Ms. Loan shared: “The fresh and cool climate is what I realized this is the ideal land for me to stay long-term. In particular, I love this place, the people are friendly and hospitable. From the first day I arrived in Gia Nghia, I was impressed and nurtured my feelings for this land. The peaceful days, the beginning of my life and career and my family's career were right from this new and promising land."

Like Ms. Loan, many Gia Nghia residents have lived here for decades and are deeply attached to this land. Ms. Vo Thi Minh, a pork butcher in residential group 3, Nghia Thanh ward, has lived in Gia Nghia since 1995.

"It has been 30 years since I lived here. Gia Nghia is not only where I do business but also my second hometown. Although life has had its ups and downs, I still love this land, including its difficulties and its daily development," Ms. Minh shared.

Not only are the stories of everyday life of the people, their attachment to Gia Nghia, but they are also expressed in the thoughts of those who fought in the war, such as veteran Pham Ngoc Dinh.

He was a soldier who belonged to the C90 Special Forces Company, a force that directly participated in the fighting in Gia Nghia during the 1960s.

Veteran Pham Ngoc Dinh shares his feelings at the meeting to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Gia Nghia Liberation Day.

"Gia Nghia is where my comrades and I fought, shed so much sweat and blood. We used to live in the harsh conditions of war, but now, seeing the changes and development of Gia Nghia, I feel proud. Whether I like it or not, I have decided to live and die here. Gia Nghia is our homeland," Mr. Dinh shared emotionally at the meeting to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Gia Nghia Liberation Day (March 23, 1975 - March 23, 2025).

Gia Nghia City has become a place where about 73,440 people live, work and do business. Each citizen has been contributing their efforts and intelligence to build the young city to develop more and more.

Sharing at the meeting to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Gia Nghia Liberation Day taking place on March 21, 2025, comrade Ngo Thanh Danh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dak Nong province, said that among the great achievements that the province has achieved after 50 years of liberation and 21 years of re-establishment of the province, Gia Nghia has made great contributions.

From a small town, Gia Nghia today has become a center of the Southern Central Highlands. With the connection between regions and provinces such as Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan, Gia Nghia not only attracts investors but is also a bright spot in the socio-economic development of the Southern Central Highlands.

With strong investment attraction policies, Gia Nghia in the future will be an industrial city, where bauxite, alumina, aluminum are mined and processed, while developing specialized services and supporting industries.
