Traditional Martial Arts Tournament of Thai Binh Province Clubs in 2025

On March 23, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the 2025 Traditional Martial Arts Tournament for Clubs in Thai Binh Province. Comrade Pham Van Nghiem, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Comrade Dinh Thi Hoan, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; representative of Sponsor VNPT Thai Binh attended the opening ceremony of the tournament.

Comrade Pham Van Nghiem, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, together with the Organizing Committee and Sponsor VNPT Thai Binh presented flowers and souvenir flags to the participating clubs.

The tournament attracted more than 200 athletes from 22 clubs in the province, from the following disciplines: Traditional Martial Arts and Vovinam Viet Vo Dao. Athletes competed according to age and weight in two categories: Performance and Combat.

The tournament contributes to promoting and honoring the traditional cultural and sports values of the land and people of Vietnam in general and Thai Binh province in particular. Through the tournament, it continues to motivate and encourage the masses, especially teenagers and children, to participate in sports, especially traditional martial arts, to improve health and physical strength and continue to preserve, inherit and promote traditional sports of the nation.

The 2025 Provincial Traditional Martial Arts Tournament is part of a series of activities of the Thai Binh Provincial Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival, celebrating the 135th anniversary of the province's founding (March 21, 1890 - March 21, 2025); this is also an activity to celebrate Vietnam Sports Day March 27, the 79th anniversary of the Sports and Physical Training Industry's Traditional Day (March 27, 1946 - March 27, 2025).

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to athletes with high rankings in each category and team prizes. For the team prize in Traditional Martial Arts: First prize went to Minh Long Club, Dong Hung District; Second prize went to Duc Long Club, Hung Ha District; Vu Thu District Cultural and Sports Center won Third prize. For the team prize in Vovinam Viet Vo Dao: First prize went to Thuy Quynh Club, Thai Thuy; Second prize went to Tan Le Club, Hung Ha District; Third prize went to Tan Hoa Secondary School, Hung Ha District./.
