This is also an opportunity for the participating community to improve their capacity in protecting cultural heritage; introduce themselves, share information as well as expand cooperation and connection opportunities.
At this program, artisans and representatives of the heritage-owning communities shared the advantages as well as the challenges and difficulties facing each craft village and heritage.
They also expressed their hope for support in developing sustainable heritage, expanding markets for local products, and developing and managing heritage tourism.
Through the sharing of experts, the community is equipped with knowledge to identify and select heritage to introduce; practice skills in recording, collecting, editing, connecting images, sounds, and introductions to form stories about the cultural life of ethnic groups through their own perspectives.
The program also equips students with many skills to promote the traditional cultural heritage values of their residential community such as: identifying, analyzing, selecting and introducing cultural heritages of which they are the subject, most notably the photovoice technique - telling their own cultural stories...
In 2025, the Training Program will support 9 project groups nationwide : 1. Organize a training course on "Improving weaving and sewing techniques" for Buon Buor brocade weavers, Hoa Xuan commune, Buon Ma Thuot city; 2. Capacity building for Hmong women in Pa Co, Mai Chau, Hoa Binh from traditional handicraft techniques; 3. Traditional weaving technique "Tam Huc Man" of Thai Do people in Thai villages, Quy Chau district, Nghe An province; 4. Collect and store folk tales of the Cham, Thai, Khmer, and Tay ethnic groups in Binh Thuan, Dien Bien, Soc Trang, and Thai Nguyen; 5. Thanh Lieu woodblock printing craft (Hai Duong city, Hai Duong province); 6. Developing community tourism in Ta Lai village (Tan Phu district, Dong Nai province); 7. Local culture of the Thai people in Hoa Tien (Quy Chau district, Nghe An province); 8. Passing on the art of carving sacred metal objects in rituals to the young generation of Cham (Ninh Phuoc district, Ninh Thuan province); 9. Thanh Tien paper flower making craft (Phu Vang district, Hue city). |
