Saigon Zoo and Botanical Garden said it will organize a night tour with the theme When Night Falls .
Learn about nocturnal animals
This is a new tourism product designed to bring people an experience of the world of nocturnal wildlife .
This program is held once a week on Saturday evenings. There will be two one-hour trips each. The time slots are 7-8pm and 8:15-9:15pm.
Maximum number of guests per trip is 20, minimum is 10. If the number is not enough, the trip will be transferred to the next trip or will be moved to the following week.
Visitors will learn about the animals' habits, distribution, and "biography" before being taken to the zoo for care.
The species selected for the study are nocturnal animals. The visit will not affect their habits or behaviors.
However, the number of passengers and trips are also controlled so as not to disrupt the animals' lives.
Does night sightseeing affect animals?
Responding to Tuoi Tre Online , Mr. Mai Khac Trung Truc - director of Saigon Zoo and Botanical Garden Animal Enterprise - said the route will go straight to the animal barn at night, not passing through other areas.

The species in the program have been studied for their behavior through scientific documents and monitored over a long period of time with cameras. This helps to know whether the intended activities will affect them or not.
Short walking time, standing time in the cage should not be too long to affect the animals.
"Regarding lighting, we limit the lighting as much as possible, visitors mainly observe and feel. The lights installed in the cage space are also limited to open.
Regarding noise, the tour guide is not allowed to use a loudspeaker. The unit also requires tourists to comply with regulations when traveling such as limiting loud talking. There is almost no noise on the vehicle because it is an electric vehicle, and the vehicle lights are also kept to a minimum," said Mr. Truc.
According to Mr. Truc, tourists mainly observe the hunting, hiding food, and stalking habits of animals that almost never occur during the day.
