Promoting cooperation between The World and Vietnam Newspaper and Guangxi media

At the meeting, Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Truong Son expressed his gratitude to the leaders of Guangxi Daily Media Group and Guangxi International Media Center for their warm welcome and effective work during the visit of the World and Vietnam Newspaper delegation to Nanning in September 2024.

Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Truong Son highly appreciated Guangxi's efforts in enhancing media cooperation between the two countries, especially in the context of the 75th anniversary of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations and the Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year.

For his part, Permanent Deputy Director of Guangxi International Media Center La Nhue was pleased with the recent connections with The World and Vietnam Newspapers.

He also suggested that The World and Vietnam Newspaper participate in events celebrating the Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year and exchange programs between the two countries coordinated by the Center in Vietnam; promote the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to further promote cooperation and information exchange between the two press agencies. Mr. La Nhue emphasized that, in the immediate future, the two sides can focus on exchanging, sharing and posting information, articles and images on each other's media platforms. At the same time, Permanent Deputy Director La Nhue hopes that the leaders of The World and Vietnam Newspaper will visit Guangxi or other provinces and cities in China to learn about the development of the Chinese media industry.

The representative of the Guangxi International Media Center shared that they wish to establish a permanent office in Vietnam as well as increase media exchanges with the Vietnamese press, thereby contributing to strengthening the relationship between Guangxi media and the Vietnamese press, contributing to promoting bilateral relations.

Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Truong Son expressed his interest and appreciation for the cooperation proposal from Guangxi, affirming that the two sides will continue to discuss on the basis of consensus and capabilities as well as continue to cooperate to ensure close and effective connection.

On this occasion, Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Truong Son presented to the Permanent Deputy Director of the Guangxi International Media Center La Nhue a number of typical publications produced by The Gioi and Viet Nam Newspaper related to the Vietnam-China relationship, including a special issue commemorating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations with the theme "Developing friendly relations for peace and cooperation".
