TPO - On September 25 and 26, at the Bac Ninh City Sports and Culture Center, the Bac Ninh Provincial Youth Union held its 6th congress for the 2024-2029 term, with 220 delegates attending.

During the last term, the Youth Union at all levels in Bac Ninh province has promoted propaganda activities, concretizing the contents of the movement "I love my Fatherland" associated with fostering revolutionary ideals and enhancing patriotism for young people.

At the same time, with practical and creative solutions, the Association at all levels has deployed the movement "I love my Fatherland" to a large number of young people, concretizing the contents of the movement into criteria and targets suitable to the characteristics of localities and units.

The campaign "One good news a day, one beautiful story a week" continues to be actively responded to by all levels of the Youth Union, widely deployed on the website, social networks, fanpages, newsletters of the Youth Union and the Youth Union, receiving the response of a large number of young people. The column "One good news a day, one beautiful story a week" on the website and fanpage of the Provincial Youth Union and the Youth Union of Bac Ninh province has posted over 800 news and articles attracting hundreds of thousands of likes and shares from young people across the province.

In order to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship and support young people in economic development, the Youth Union at all levels continues to implement the project "Supporting youth start-ups" for the period 2018 - 2025. Up to now, the Provincial Youth Union and the Youth Union of Bac Ninh province have supported loans for 179 youth start-up projects, with a total outstanding debt of more than 148 billion VND.

The Youth Union at all levels of Bac Ninh province has deployed and designed volunteer activities for the community so that young people can promote their volunteer spirit to solve social security issues, focusing on organizing activities to participate in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; protecting the environment; responding to climate change; sharing difficulties with people and young people.

In the first half of the term, facing the severe impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Youth Union at all levels in Bac Ninh province mobilized a total value of over 20 billion VND for epidemic prevention. More than 570 youth volunteer teams of the "Green Shirt Front" with the participation of over 7,300 volunteers in localities carried out anti-epidemic tasks.

During the past term, the Youth Union at all levels of Bac Ninh province mobilized support to build 95 new charity houses and repair 316 houses for people in difficult circumstances and policy families, with a total value of 8.7 billion VND.

The volunteer programs for people's health care have been effectively implemented by the Youth Union at all levels of Bac Ninh province, spreading widely in the community and society with activities of consulting, examining and giving free medicine. During the past term, the Union at all levels provided medical examination, health consultation and free medicine to more than 27,000 people; and disease prevention propaganda for 18,420 students.

During the past term, the skills of communication, behavior, problem solving, critical thinking, teamwork, international integration, and improving positive attitudes in studying, working, and living were organized by the Youth Union at all levels of Bac Ninh province in many diverse forms, meeting the needs and legitimate aspirations of young people and in line with the trend of the times. The Youth Union and the Bac Ninh Provincial Youth Union organized 6 psychological counseling programs for high school students.

Effective programs, models and activities for young workers are organized by the Youth Union at all levels of Bac Ninh province with many activities to support health and legal advice, playgrounds, cultural and sports exchange programs organized regularly to improve the cultural and spiritual life of young workers.

In the last term, the whole Bac Ninh province provided career counseling to nearly 200,000 members, young people, and demobilized soldiers; introduced jobs to more than 26,200 young people, of which over 14,200 young people had jobs.

The work of expanding solidarity and gathering young people has been focused on and implemented synchronously. The Youth Union at all levels of Bac Ninh province has many specific solutions to attract young people to participate in the organization and activities of the Union. The Union at all levels has developed nearly 80,000 new members, introducing more than 76,800 outstanding young people to the Union.

In the coming term, the Bac Ninh Provincial Youth Union strives for 100% of its establishments to have at least 2 activities to support young people in preserving and promoting local cultural identity. Member organizations of the Union will participate in at least 2 volunteer activities organized by the Youth Union and Association at the same level during the year; provide career counseling and guidance to 10,000 members and young people.
