On the afternoon of March 22, in the open space next to the Da Nang Museum, the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang city organized the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Da Nang - Past and Present".
The exhibition displays more than 300 photos, sketches, nearly 3,000 documents, books, newspapers, and royal decrees, providing a comprehensive view of the urban history and the daily innovation of Da Nang city.

The exhibits are divided into many rich contents, from documents about ancient Da Nang, images of the city in the days after liberation, to photos reflecting the strong rise of Da Nang in the period of innovation, integration and development.
The images and artifacts in the exhibition “Da Nang - Past and Present” help people and tourists feel the changes of the city through each period, affirming the comprehensive development of economy, culture and society. It can be the stilt houses along the Han River to the tall towers in the city center, the bridges that make the city famous...
In particular, the exhibition also introduces artifacts and images of many traditional craft villages such as fishing net weaving, Nam O traditional fish sauce, Cam Ne mat weaving, etc.

According to Mr. Ha Vy - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang city, the exhibition "Da Nang - Past and Present" is a journey back in time, vividly recreating the image of a land from the early days of its formation to the development period today, helping viewers find the city that remains somewhere in their own memories.
This is a cultural and artistic event that helps viewers review glorious historical milestones, honor the great achievements that the army, people and city government have achieved; at the same time affirm the position of Da Nang in the period of integration and development.
