In the second match of the CFA Team China 2025 International U22 Tournament, the Vietnam U22 team drew 0-0 with the Uzbekistan U22 team, temporarily ranking second on the rankings and facing the opportunity to compete for the championship when they will meet the host U22 China (leading the rankings with 4 points) in the final match on March 25.

After a positive performance against U22 Korea, the U22 Vietnam players entered the match with high confidence. Right after the opening whistle, coach Dinh Hong Vinh's students deployed and maintained a tight game against a highly rated Uzbekistan. Nguyen Van Truong continued to show impressive form in the midfield, helping the team control the ball well and create solidity in the gameplay. The first notable opportunity of the match belonged to U22 Vietnam.

In the 25th minute, Nguyen Phi Hoang fired a dangerous shot from afar, forcing the Uzbekistan goalkeeper to show his talent in blocking it. Le Viktor quickly rushed in to finish, but unfortunately the ball did not go into the net. The first half ended without any goals scored.

In the second half, U22 Uzbekistan pushed up their formation to find a goal. After a disappointing draw against U22 China, the Central Asian team was determined to win all 3 points. Coach Ravshan Khaydarov's players increased the pressure, forcing U22 Vietnam to retreat deep to defend and face many dangerous situations. However, U22 Vietnam's defense stood firm against the opponent's attacks.

In the last 15 minutes of the match, coach Dinh Hong Vinh's team regained control of the game and organized more effective counterattacks. However, neither side was able to take advantage of the opportunity to score, and the match ended in a 0-0 draw. With this draw, the U22 Vietnam team has 2 points and is temporarily ranked second in the table thanks to a better goal difference than U22 Uzbekistan.

Coach Dinh Hong Vinh and his team have the opportunity to compete for the championship when they face the top team, U22 China, in the final match, taking place on March 25.

Evaluating the 0-0 draw with U22 Uzbekistan, coach Dinh Hong Vinh commented that the Uzbekistan players are a well-organized team, physically strong and possessing many technical players. “We have prepared carefully and the players have deployed their play reasonably. The defense played focused, maintained good team distance, and did not leave many gaps for the opponent to exploit. In attack, the team had some opportunities but could not take advantage of them well. This is something we will continue to improve to achieve higher efficiency in the upcoming matches. Overall, this was a useful match, helping U22 Vietnam hone their skills when facing strong teams in Asia.”

The match between U22 Vietnam and U22 China will take place at 6:35 p.m. on March 25. This will be an important test for the players before aiming for further goals in the future.
