According to experts, the export growth target of 12% for the whole year of 2025 is not easy. To achieve this target in the coming time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has determined to support businesses to take advantage of commitments in FTAs to boost exports, through propaganda about rules of origin, opportunities and ways to take advantage of opportunities from the agreements.
In addition, activities to provide market information on digital platforms to localities, industry associations, and businesses have been strengthened. For neighboring markets, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has been making efforts to promote a rapid and strong shift to official trade. The Government also pays special attention to import and export activities.
In Directive No. 06/CT-TTg issued on March 10, 2025, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade to preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to urgently complete an action plan on harmonious and sustainable trade balance with major partners.
Continue to urgently and synchronously implement solutions to diversify markets and export products, promote trade; effectively exploit free trade agreements. Continue to advocate and urge countries to soon remove restrictions and controls on high-tech exports; recognize Vietnam's market economy status.
Improve capacity and control the origin of goods to minimize the impact of unhealthy foreign investment flows and tax evasion. Proactively research and propose solutions to support industries and businesses in responding to trade defense lawsuits and adapting to new technical barriers from export partners to promote sustainable exports...
