On March 20, information from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ha Tinh said that the unit has just directed to temporarily stop adjusting changes on land use right certificates to wait for the policy of merging communes and abolishing the district level, to avoid having to adjust them again later.

This is to reduce procedures, as well as avoid having to re-adjust later for the people, only done when people have necessary needs to wait for the new merger policy.

Since the Lunar New Year, thousands of people in newly merged communes and wards in Thach Ha district and Ha Tinh city have rushed to correct information on land titles.

According to the reporter's investigation, since after the Lunar New Year, thousands of people in 11 communes and towns of the old Loc Ha district have registered changes in their land use right certificates, after this locality merged into Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh province. Similarly, in Ha Tinh city, after the merger of 14 more units, thousands of people in these communes and wards have also rushed to register changes in their land plot addresses and permanent addresses on their land use right certificates.

To support the people, officials from the Land Registration Offices of Thach Ha district and Ha Tinh city were mobilized to go to villages, hamlets, wards and communes to help people with procedures. In particular, at some times, officials went to each village and locality to mobilize people to adjust land titles simultaneously, working through Saturdays and Sundays.

According to statistics, in Thach Ha district, the Land Registration Office has adjusted 5/11 communes with 7,200 land titles in the plan. Meanwhile, in Ha Tinh city, it has completed adjusting 10/20 communes and wards with a total of 13,500 land titles.

Mr. Duong Kim Phong, Director of the Land Registration Office of Ha Tinh City, the unit has completed the correction of land titles of 10/20 communes and wards, with a total of 13,550 land titles and the temporary suspension of the correction of changes on land use right certificates is very reasonable.

“To stabilize the merger of communes, we will continue to implement it later. This pause is reasonable because if we adjust it now, we will have to do it again after the merger, which will waste the time of the people and officials,” said Mr. Phong.

The leader of the Department of Agriculture and Environment said that for many months, officials have coordinated with villages, communes and towns to support people in adjusting land titles simultaneously. However, to reduce procedures, as well as avoid having to adjust information again after implementing the new merger policy, the unit has directed to stop this work.

"The units will only carry out the adjustment for cases where people have necessary needs such as to complete bank loan procedures... The adjustment support will continue to be carried out when the new administrative units are arranged," informed the leader of the Department of Agriculture and Environment.
