Young Pioneers and Children: Strive to practice and study, worthy of being Uncle Ho's good children

- Be good, study well, help friends progress; constantly study to improve knowledge and skills, contribute to the construction of the homeland and country... Those are practical actions that team members and children in the province are maintaining and expanding to be worthy of being "Uncle Ho's Good Children".

In the period of 2020 - 2025, the team activities and children's movements in the province have been widely deployed with many new contents and methods, creating an environment for team members and children to study, practice and develop comprehensively in terms of morality, intelligence, physical strength and aesthetics. With the support of the team councils at all levels, team members and children in the province always actively participate in team movements and activities. From these movements, many exemplary team members and children, good deeds and beautiful actions have emerged.

Ms. Le Thuy Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairwoman of the Provincial Youth Union Council, said: The whole province currently has 165,746 team members, teenagers, and children, of which 68,642 team members are active in 365 teams. Over the past 5 years, the Youth Union Councils at all levels have always accompanied team members and children in studying and training with movements and actions such as: Journey to red addresses; Healthy Children's Day to Advance to the Union; Small Plan Day; Campaign for Beloved Juniors... In which, the campaign "Lang Son Children compete to implement Uncle Ho's 5 teachings" is a key and continuous task, creating motivation for team members and children to compete to study well, practice well, and be worthy of being Uncle Ho's good children.

The work of educating traditions, patriotism, ethics, lifestyle and awareness of law compliance among team members and children is a key task that is regularly and continuously implemented in many forms such as: flag-raising activities, journey to red addresses, through the movement "I love Vietnam's sea and islands", learning about major holidays, places, historical figures... Thereby, arousing the spirit of national pride and self-respect among team members and children.

The education and training of social practice skills for team members and children continues to be of interest to the team council. Traffic safety skills, self-protection, child injury prevention, school violence prevention... are regularly organized through programs and activities such as: semester in the army; border experience; a day as a firefighter; children's summer camp; festival of young propaganda teams, prevention of injuries, drowning, child abuse... attracting nearly 100,000 children to participate each year.

The program "Lighting up the dreams of Lang Son children", the campaign "For beloved juniors" was directed and widely deployed by the Provincial Youth Union Council from the province to the union to arouse the spirit of overcoming difficulties, helping students with difficult circumstances to go to school; in the period of 2020 - 2025, it supported over 60,000 team members and children with difficult circumstances, built 3 "Beautiful schools for children" projects; 2 "Boarding houses", "Boarding kitchens" projects... with a total value of nearly 10 billion VND.

Ms. Luong Thu Huong, Deputy Secretary in charge of the District Youth Union, Chairwoman of the Trang Dinh District Youth Union Council, said: Implementing the plan of the Provincial Youth Union Council on activities accompanying children in studying and training, every year, the Youth Union Councils at all levels in the district always promote the work of educating traditions, ethics, lifestyles and good values of the Vietnamese people to help team members and children perfect their personalities, nurture their dreams, become good children and good students, good team members, good children of Uncle Ho, with many contents and forms such as: building traditional scenes, young propaganda teams, "we tell stories of Uncle Ho" contest, "young historians", the movement of thousands of good deeds, 10-point stars, studious stars... From these movements, the whole district has had 662 team members and children achieving excellent students in cultural competitions for excellent students at the district and provincial levels; 91/150 products won prizes at the district-level youth, teenager and children's creativity contest; 690 children participated in the Phu Dong Sports Festival, of which 363 won district-level medals, 39 provincial-level medals and 4 national medals in region I.

Worthy of the title "Uncle Ho's good child"

Following Uncle Ho's teachings, Lang Son's team members and children actively study and practice through the following models: "Good score", "Overcoming difficulties to study well", "Clean notebooks, beautiful handwriting", "I love science", "Young Informatics" contest; "STEM Festival" series of programs. Supporting each other in studying, team members and children in the province participate in learning and scientific research clubs; students with good and excellent academic performance tutor and support weaker students... Such activities not only encourage students to study enthusiastically but also create a vibrant emulation movement.

Lam Mai Linh, Team 8A1, Deputy Team Leader of Loc Binh Town Secondary School, Loc Binh District said: Through the activities of the Team Council, I was able to participate in the 2nd national mock meeting of the "Children's National Assembly" in 2024. Here, we were able to express opinions related to children, express our thoughts on common social issues. Through team activities, I am more aware that myself as well as children in the whole province need to make more efforts in studying and training to become useful citizens for society, future owners of the country.

Promoting the spirit of "Young age, small work", Lang Son team members and children actively implemented the "Tran Quoc Toan" movement with activities of visiting, giving gifts, helping families with preferential policies, war invalids, martyrs, heroic Vietnamese mothers;... Along with that, the "Small Plan" movement was effectively implemented by the team bases with a budget of over 500 million VND, from this budget, 38 red scarf houses were built; 56 models of drowning prevention were deployed; 124 "Small Plan" house models to collect recyclable waste, 284 "Flower beds I take care of" works...

In addition, children in the whole province also carried out the movement "I love Vietnam's sea and islands" well from the beginning of the school year with many diverse forms such as: organizing the painting contest "Youth with love for the homeland's sea and islands", "Truong Sa, Hoang Sa in my heart"; the program "Border lessons", exchanges, twinning between urban teams with teams in mountainous, remote and isolated areas... The activities attracted hundreds of thousands of team members and children to participate.

Phan Le Minh Chau, Team 6A6, Hoang Van Thu Secondary School, Lang Son City shared: Participating in team activities helps me practice being proactive and self-disciplined in studying, thanks to which I have achieved many achievements such as: first and second prizes in IOE competitions at school, city and provincial levels; gold medal in the National Literature - Math Competition for Children. In team activities, I always actively participate, this helps me not only make more good friends but also helps me practice communication and teamwork skills.

Uncle Ho's Good Children is a noble title that any team member or child strives to achieve. At the 2025 Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress, the whole province had 3,135 outstanding team members recognized as "Uncle Ho's Good Children" at all levels. They are not only exemplary in studying and training but also have good actions in life such as: helping poor friends, helping friends progress in studying, picking up lost items and returning them to the losers, overcoming difficulties to excel in studying, filial acts... In the coming time, team members and children in the province will continue to strive and train to become good children, good students, good team members, worthy of the title "Uncle Ho's Good Children".
