Energy saving - increase investment efficiency

Aiming for sustainable development, businesses and production facilities in the province have been and are continuing to apply many energy saving solutions and green development transformation, helping to optimize costs and improve production and business efficiency.

Thanh Tien Production and Trade Company Limited, Dong Soc Industrial Park (Vinh Tuong) invests in modern machinery, reducing power loss during the production process.

Operating in the field of manufacturing and trading of auto and motorbike spare parts, metal surface treatment, paint coating, plating of various products and metal processing, rolled steel materials, consuming a large amount of electricity every month, Lam Vien Vinh Phuc Industrial Limited Company, Khai Quang Industrial Park (Vinh Yen) identifies the use of energy saving and efficiency as one of the important solutions for sustainable development.

Accordingly, along with signing an energy audit service contract with the Center for Industry and Trade Development (Department of Industry and Trade), the company has been implementing many solutions to save electricity in particular and effectively use energy in general, such as building an energy management system according to ISO 50001 standards; monitoring and evaluating major energy consumption areas; reducing set pressure and compressed air leakage, reducing compressed air leakage by 99%; replacing 150 Halogen lamps with LED lamps; replacing all fluorescent lamps in the office block with LED lamps and speeding up the movement of some processing machines such as tazo machines and stamping machines by installing frequency converters, reducing electricity consumption...

Thanks to the comprehensive improvement in the production system, the company saves an average of 2-3% of electricity each year, helping to reduce input production costs, increase profits and competitiveness in the market.

There are currently nearly 90 key energy-using enterprises and more than 200 sub-key enterprises in the province. To maximize energy savings, the province has integrated energy development planning with the province's socio-economic development plan; prioritizing the development of green industrial parks and industries using clean energy and renewable energy.

Issue the Project on economical and efficient use of energy in industrial production enterprises in the province until 2030; regulate urban lighting, assign and decentralize urban lighting management in the province.

Prime Dai Viet Joint Stock Company, Khai Quang Industrial Park (Vinh Yen) regularly checks and monitors the energy consumption needs of vehicles and equipment on the entire production line to have appropriate saving solutions.

In project appraisal, priority is given to projects that use advanced, modern technology, do not pollute the environment, use energy economically and efficiently; design construction drawings of public lighting projects using energy-saving technology.

The province regularly reviews, updates, and adjusts the list of greenhouse gas emission facilities that must conduct greenhouse gas inventories according to prescribed criteria.

Faced with the situation of rapid increase in electricity consumption in the province, averaging more than 10%/year, Vinh Phuc Electricity Company has worked with key electricity-using enterprises in the industrial production sector to participate in the load adjustment program; arrange production, limit peak-hour operations to limit unnecessary capacity usage.

Along with applying technical standards and regulations, using high energy efficiency technological equipment; investing in replacing outdated machinery and equipment with advanced technology, businesses also launched emulation movements and initiatives to save electricity, which have contributed significantly to reducing electricity demand and CO2 emissions. Thereby, reducing production costs and improving competitiveness in the market.

Contributing to the successful implementation of the goal of net zero emissions reduction by 2050, towards the goal of green growth and sustainable development, on March 14, the Department of Industry and Trade issued the Plan for economical and efficient use of energy in the industry by 2025.

Accordingly, the department will preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units in the province to organize 5 training conferences to propagate and raise awareness of economical and efficient use of energy, environmental protection, climate change response and energy consumption norms in industrial production for managers and employees at enterprises; coordinate with agencies and units to organize 3 competitions "Using economical and efficient energy in 2025".

At the same time, coordinate with departments, branches, sectors and organizations in the province to actively respond to the movement "All people save energy in response to Earth Hour 2025" to propagate to all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in agencies and units about the meaning of the Earth Hour Campaign; turn off lights and unnecessary equipment inside and outside the agency's headquarters and at home for 1 hour during this year's Earth Hour event.
