Hanoi honors outstanding journalistic works on Party building and political system

(CLO) On the morning of March 13, the Hanoi Party Committee held the 7th Press Award Ceremony on Party building and the political system of Hanoi city - 2024, an important and meaningful event to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi Party Committee.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee; Lai Xuan Mon, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission; along with leaders of the Party, State, Hanoi city and representatives of press agencies.

In 2024, the 7th Hanoi City Press Award on Party Building and Political System received enthusiastic responses from central and local press agencies, with a total of 184 entries. The judging panel worked impartially, objectively and responsibly, selecting 33 best entries to award, including 3 A Prizes, 5 B Prizes, 7 C Prizes, 3 C Prizes - Special and 15 Encouragement Prizes.

According to the evaluation of the Judging Council, the quality of the press works participating in this year's award is quite even, especially the electronic press works which are invested more elaborately. Many works have closely followed the breath of life, discovered new issues, renewed the way of writing about familiar topics, thereby demonstrating the creativity and dedication of journalists.

Speaking at the ceremony, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong reviewed the city's achievements in 2024 and emphasized the role of the press in Party building and the political system.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phong affirmed: "The above successes have a particularly important contribution from information and propaganda work. News agencies and newspapers have actively accompanied the Capital, strengthening propaganda on Party building and the city's political system. From there, it has created consensus among the people, making an important contribution to helping the city successfully implement political tasks in 2024".

In addition, Mr. Nguyen Van Phong pointed out the city's key tasks in 2025, a year of special significance, including effectively implementing the Party's major policies, improving the quality of Party building and the political system, accelerating the digital transformation process, deploying mechanisms and policies according to the Capital Law, implementing the Capital planning and successfully organizing Party congresses at all levels.

According to the assessment of the members of the Judging Council and the Organizing Committee, the 7th Hanoi Press Award on Party Building and the Political System continues to attract the participation and response of many central press agencies. Thereby, contributing to improving the quality of press works participating in the award.

The press works participating in this year's competition are of good quality and quite uniform. In general, the content of the works is basically general, theoretical and highly practical, focusing on urgent and practical issues of Hanoi in the work of Party building and the political system in the current period. In particular, the electronic press works are of higher quality and have been invested in more elaborately than in previous years.

Many entries to the award closely follow the breath of life, discover new issues, and innovate the way of writing about a familiar, traditional topic, thereby demonstrating hard work and creativity, bringing appeal in the way of expression. The organization of the newspapers is also more methodical, with deeper and clearer professionalism. Most of the articles closely follow the work of Party building and the political system of the City Party Committee; closely follow the programs, work projects, and directions of the City Party Committee, especially for the key tasks of bringing the Resolution of the 17th Hanoi Party Congress and the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress into life.

Specifically, the implementation of Resolution 15-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the direction and tasks of developing the Capital until 2030, with a vision to 2045; building, amending and implementing the Capital Law; Party development work at the grassroots level; decentralization, delegation of authority, and innovation in personnel work; overcoming the fear of responsibility, tightening discipline and order in one year of implementing Directive 24-CT/TU of the City Party Committee; promoting digital transformation, streamlining the government apparatus; Hanoi Capital in the new era, the era of national growth.

At the end of the ceremony, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong launched the 8th Hanoi Press Award on Party Building and the Political System in 2025, and called on reporters and press agencies at the Central and Hanoi levels to continue to accompany and support Hanoi; actively participate in the Press Award on Party Building and the Political System in Hanoi and the Press Award on Cultural Development and Building Elegant and Civilized Hanoians.
