TPO - With a length of more than 16km and a total investment of more than 383 billion VND. The project to renovate and upgrade the Red River dike surface (from Phu Minh town to Quang Lang commune), Phu Xuyen district is being implemented by Hanoi.
The Red River dike in Phu Xuyen district (Hanoi city) is being renovated. |
With 16,611km of Red River dike passing through Phu Xuyen district, it will be widened from about 6m to 9m. |
Currently, the road surface in many sections of the Red River dike has seriously degraded, with heavy-duty vehicles regularly passing through at high density. |
Some sections of the project are being concreted at the foot of the dike. |
The project to renovate and upgrade the Red River dike surface through Phu Xuyen district includes the following items: Filling the embankment to widen the surface from 6m to 9m; reinforcing the dike surface with asphalt concrete; renovating, smoothing, and reinforcing the slope up to the dike to suit the current status and designed dike cross-section; building reinforced concrete retaining walls; building 9 dike watchtowers; lighting, etc. |
“The District People's Committee resolutely directs the Construction Investment Project Management Board to coordinate well with specialized agencies and the People's Committees of communes and towns where the project passes through during the construction of the items. The project implementation process will be closely monitored by the units so that the construction contractor ensures the quality of the project and complies with the approved design documents,” emphasized Mr. Le Van Binh, Chairman of the Phu Xuyen District People's Committee. |
Many dike sections are deteriorating, with narrow road surfaces that always pose potential risks to traffic safety and dike quality. |
The project to renovate, upgrade and expand the Red River dike road surface aims to serve the purpose of traffic, irrigation system management and natural disaster prevention. At the same time, it contributes to completing the transportation network in the region, promoting socio-economic development. |
