Exciting race for tickets to the finals

In Group A (northern region), the Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports affirmed their strength with a 2-0 victory over the Hanoi University of Industry. The determination of the Hanoi University of Industry team helped them hold out against their opponents for 70 minutes but they fell in the last 10 minutes with 2 goals from Vu Hai Tien and Nguyen Van Duy. The winning team in the match between Duy Tan University and Hue University and the winning team in the remaining match between Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports and FPT Polytechnic College will win tickets to the final round.

In Group E (Ho Chi Minh City area), the 5th team to qualify for the play-off round is Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, which finished first in Group 5 (the 4 teams that previously qualified for the next round are Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports, Van Hien University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, and Saigon University of Technology). The last 3 tickets to the play-off round of Group E will be decided today.

Yesterday's Group F qualifying round (Southwest region) witnessed an impressive 3-0 victory of Cuu Long University against Can Tho University, while Nam Can Tho University shared points with Dong Thap University in a 0-0 draw.

The qualifying round of Group C (South Central – Central Highlands region) kicked off yesterday at Nha Trang University and saw the success of the host team. Nha Trang University defeated Da Lat University 5-0, while Nha Trang College of Tourism defeated Thai Binh Duong University 4-0.

Today (January 11), the THACO Cup 2025 continues to hold matches in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southwest region.
