Speeding up the progress of key projects in Dong Hung

At this time, at key projects in Dong Hung district, contractors are overcoming all difficulties, focusing on human and material resources to speed up construction progress, striving to complete projects according to the set plan.

Construction of the project to upgrade and renovate DH.53 road from National Highway 10 to Lam Bridge, Dong Vinh Commune.

In the middle of summer days, at the construction site of Pham Huy Quang Secondary School, the working atmosphere is very exciting. Mr. Tran Quang Trung, a technical officer of Duy Tuong Company Limited, said: With the determination not to let the construction be interrupted by the prolonged hot weather, interspersed with rains, every day we gather dozens of workers to work in shifts, at the same time mobilizing supporting machinery, ensuring the health of workers to achieve the highest efficiency. The project has a total investment of 36 billion VND, of which the construction and installation value is over 30 billion VND. To date, phase I of the project has completed over 90% of the project volume, including a 3-storey school building with 27 rooms, a 3-storey administrative building, striving to complete ahead of schedule to hand over the project before entering the 2023-2024 school year and be ready to implement phase II of the project.

The project to renovate and upgrade the Dong Hung District Martyrs' Cemetery is being completed for handover to the district.

At the Dong Hung District Martyrs Cemetery renovation and upgrade project, phase I, the working atmosphere is also very urgent. The project has a total investment of 14 billion VND, started in March 2023, and is expected to be completed in December this year. The project includes items: stele house, memorial, yard, fence wall... The workload is large, requiring high aesthetics, and the construction time is urgent, so the contractor has focused on human resources and materials to ensure the project's progress.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Manh, Director of Hung Manh Company Limited shared: The project is especially meaningful spiritually, so the Company has instructed all workers to "overcome the sun and rain" to complete it on schedule. Up to now, we have basically completed 4 stele houses and main monuments, striving to finish by July 15 so that the district can organize the celebration of War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27 and welcome people to burn incense and pay tribute to heroes and martyrs. We will complete some auxiliary items as soon as possible. With the current construction speed, the project will be completed at least 3-4 months ahead of schedule.

Along with the above two projects, Dong Hung district is directing relevant units to urge contractors to continue implementing the construction of transitional works from 2022 and works whose investment capital plans have been approved by the People's Council, most of which are traffic projects and key works. Despite many difficulties due to rising material prices and unfavorable weather, contractors are making efforts to overcome them to speed up progress and complete projects and works on schedule. Many important traffic projects such as the project to renovate and upgrade the inter-district road connecting DH.45 road to DT.396B provincial road have now completed 95% of the volume; the investment project to build the DH.48 rescue road from Tra Ly left dike to Phien bridge has completed 85% of the volume; the project to upgrade and renovate DH.53 road from National Highway 10 to Lam bridge, Dong Vinh commune (phase I) has completed 65% of the volume. In addition, projects and works such as Dong Hung town renovation, rescue road project from National Highway 39 to Tra Ly dike through Phu Chau and Trong Quan communes, technical infrastructure project of commercial housing area in Thang Long commune... are also being urgently implemented.

To speed up the construction progress of the projects, the People's Committee of Dong Hung district directed specialized departments and offices to focus on preparation work; effectively carry out administrative procedure reform, especially the implementation of documents and procedures, creating favorable conditions for projects to be implemented according to plan.

Mr. Do Quang Huy, Deputy Director of the District Construction Investment Project Management Board, said: The Board has assigned technical staff to coordinate with the supervision consultant unit to regularly monitor the construction works to promptly inspect and urge contractors to ensure the quality, volume, technical aspects of the works, labor safety, traffic safety, and environmental sanitation. Proactively grasp the situation, advise the District People's Committee to remove difficulties and obstacles. Regularly send staff to each construction site to inspect, grasp the progress, urge contractors to focus resources to speed up the construction progress, ensure the completion of disbursement according to the assigned capital plan and promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles for contractors.

With the close direction of the District People's Committee, the drastic participation of sectors, localities and contractors, the progress of implementing key projects in Dong Hung district is being accelerated, striving to soon complete and put into use, meeting the requirements of local socio-economic development.
