74 bored pile drills completed ahead of schedule

Among them, the dismantling of the 5th span steel truss, the demolition of 2 abutments, 4 pillars of the old Phong Chau bridge, 74 bored pile drills of the new Phong Chau bridge, of which 44 most difficult drills of the 2 main pillars have been completed.

In the first days of the new year, the Phong Chau bridge construction site became bustling when 74 bored piles - one of the most important items of the project - were completed 10 days ahead of schedule. This is the result of the tireless efforts of the officers, engineers and workers of the Truong Son 9 Management Board, Truong Son Construction Corporation, Ministry of National Defense.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nham Manh Don - Deputy Director of Truong Son 9 Management Board, 74 bored pile drills, including 44 of the most complex drills of the two pillars T4 and T5 under the riverbed, have been completed safely, meeting strict technical requirements. In the coming time, the construction unit will move on to the stage of pouring concrete to cover the bottom of the pillar, constructing the foundation and completing the pillar body.

The construction unit has completed 74 bored pile drills.

Lieutenant Colonel Nham Manh Don added that to achieve this result, right from the start of construction, the contractor mobilized maximum modern machinery and construction personnel throughout Tet in a 3-shift, 4-shift regime, taking advantage of every day of favorable weather.

The new Phong Chau Bridge project has a total investment of over 635 billion VND, with Thang Long Project Management Board as the investor and Truong Son Construction Corporation as the contractor. The bridge is built with reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete, with a total length of nearly 653m, a width of 20.5m, suitable for the width of the roadbed.

The early completion of bored pile drilling not only affirms the contractor's capacity but also creates an important premise to speed up construction progress, contributing to early putting the project into operation, meeting the traffic needs and socio-economic development of the locality.
