The success of the "Footsteps on the Clouds" Mountain Climbing Competition for journalists

During the two days of September 30 - October 1, nearly 100 athletes who are journalists working at press agencies across the country participated in the "Steps on the Clouds" Mountain Climbing Competition to conquer Ta Chi Nhu peak.

The tournament is co-organized by the People's Committee of Tram Tau district, Yen Bai province, in collaboration with the Vietnam Law Newspaper and Hung Viet Trade and Tourism Company Limited, to promote the beautiful image and unique tourist attractions of Tram Tau to a large number of domestic and foreign tourists; attract organizations, businesses and individuals to invest and participate in service and tourism business activities in Tram Tau district. This is also an opportunity for athletes to explore and record the natural beauty and culture of the northern mountainous region.

100 journalists and reporters from news agencies across the country participated in conquering Ta Chi Nhu peak.

Participating in this Mountain Climbing Tournament, athletes will have to overcome a distance of about 10 km of mountainous roads. The starting point is at the foot of the mountain in Cang Chi Khua cluster, Sang Pao village, Xa Ho commune, Tram Tau district, Yen Bai province. The destination is Ta Chi Nhu peak at an altitude of 2,979m above sea level.

This is the 7th highest mountain in Vietnam, part of the Pu Luong mountain range, belonging to the Hoang Lien Son range, considered the "roof" of Yen Bai province and one of the most beautiful cloud hunting spots in the Northern region.

The highlight of the Mountain Climbing route is that athletes will pass through majestic natural landscapes at different altitudes, from primeval forests, through low-canopy forests, grasslands, to purple dragon flower fields, to the mountainside where herds of horses and goats of the indigenous people leisurely graze. And finally, step foot on the top of Ta Chi Nhu - where athletes can touch the clouds.

Ta Chi Nhu Mountain is known as the "roof" of Yen Bai province, ranked 7th in the top 10 highest mountains in Vietnam - one of the ideal places for cloud hunting.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Khang A Chua - Vice Chairman of Tram Tau District People's Committee affirmed: "During the organization process, the Organizing Committee has ensured security, safety and professional conditions according to the regulations for athletes and forces participating in the Tournament.

With the companionship, sharing, care and support in the organization of the leaders of Yen Bai province, the leaders of Tram Tau district, the Editorial Board of Vietnam Law Newspaper, businesses, travel agencies, media agencies, newspapers and the enthusiastic coordination of athletes, the first "Steps on the Clouds" Mountain Climbing Tournament to conquer Ta Chi Nhu peak was a great success. In particular, the athlete finished at 2 hours 9 minutes 38 seconds, which is a record because no one has ever conquered Ta Chi Nhu peak with such an impressive time.

Affirming the success of the tournament in its first organization, the Vice Chairman of Tram Tau District People's Committee also expressed his wish to continue to coordinate with units and businesses to continue organizing the tournament in the coming years to spread more of the natural beauty and image of Tram Tau people.

The organizers awarded first prizes to the two athletes who completed the course the earliest in the two categories.

Also at the ceremony, journalist Tran Ngoc Ha - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Law Newspaper affirmed: "We will continue to organize the second season of the mountain climbing competition for journalists. The next peak will be Ta Xua with a commitment to scale, quality, safety and more attractiveness."

At the end of the climbing competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes, 2 third prizes and 2 prizes for the oldest person to reach the finish line. The People's Committee of Tram Tau district also awarded certificates of merit to organizations and individuals with outstanding achievements in successfully organizing the competition.

During the mountain climbing competition, Tram Tau district also organized many cultural, artistic and sports activities to promote the cultural beauty of ethnic groups in the district and boost the consumption of agricultural products for the people.

Tram Tau hopes to attract more organizations, businesses and individuals to invest and participate in service and tourism business activities so that the locality becomes an attractive tourist destination in the Northern mountainous region with the brand "Tram Tau - warm springs, vast sea of ​​clouds" .
