Confirming with Tuoi Tre Online , the leader of Son Phong ward ( Hoi An ) said that at 10:30 am on June 13, the owner of AH chicken rice restaurant - Ly Thuong Kiet street - came to work to explain the situation of the argument with the tourists earlier.

According to the explanation of this female restaurant owner, her restaurant had previously received a call to order chicken rice for a group of tourists going to Hoi An. However, the person in charge of the group called her husband, but he did not inform her to prepare the meal.
Around noon, the tour guide stopped by the restaurant. When he saw that the meals they had ordered were not available, the tour guide and the female owner of the restaurant had an argument.
During the argument, the female owner of the chicken rice shop AH raised her voice and used vulgar language.
"So what? Is that a tourist city? Is it hospitable?" - the person filming the clip said in frustration. The woman believed to be the owner of the chicken rice restaurant held a knife and chopped at the cutting board, while raising her head and cursing back: "What... hospitable!".
This clip of the argument was filmed. On June 11, it was spread on Facebook and caused great outrage from the online community.

By the morning of June 13, this clip had received more than 500 comments and thousands of interactions. Most expressed dissatisfaction with the attitude and rude words of the chicken rice seller.
Many people expressed that for a tourist city that takes safety and friendliness as its destination brand like Hoi An, the behavior of a vendor has unintentionally affected the overall effort.
Just a misunderstanding?
The reporter contacted the person who posted the video clip but has not received a response. Meanwhile, the leader of Son Phong ward - where the incident occurred - said that the information the ward has is only one-sided from the female owner's report.
"We have collected security camera footage of the incident. But the clip only has images and no sound.
We will clarify the matter, meet with other customers who were present at the restaurant when the two sides argued, and at the same time try to contact the person who directly reported the incident to clarify related content.
It is not clear what the truth is, but for now, the chicken rice shop owner's behavior is inappropriate.

Many Hoi An residents and tourists told reporters that the behavior of the owner of AH chicken rice restaurant was not spontaneous, but that this person often behaves like that when customers react or give feedback.
On platforms introducing this chicken rice restaurant, customers have written comments and given very low scores to this not-so-famous restaurant located on the outskirts of Hoi An ancient town.
Mr. Nguyen Van Lanh - Vice Chairman of Hoi An City People's Committee - said he is asking Son Phong ward to specifically report the incident to come up with a solution.
